OMG OMG OMG Saoirse breath i tell myself but its not working. He is looking straight at me. Those eyes are burning into me its like he can read my mind. I can just about register John introducing him as his grandson. NO NO NO. He is smiling at me. Why is he smiling. Ok ok i need to pretend i dont see him or remember him but how.
From the corner of my eye i see him make his way over to me so on queue i turn to talk to the new guy in marketing. Gary i think his name is but right now i dont really care i just need Gary to keep me talking and focused though he is currently talking about his pet cats. I'm so lost by this and i yawn which doest help this convo. I can feel Eoins eyes on my back and my body is heating up. What the hell is happening. I refuse to turn around even when John calls for me, i tell him i'll join him shortly but I need to get out but now. So i send my bff a 911 text.
Saoirse: 911 911. Omg im freaking out layla. Eoin is standing in front of me well not right in front of me but on the same floor like 10 feet away from him. Help 😭
Layla: what?? Eoin as in Eoin Ryder😲
Saoirse: omg what other Eoin would i be panicing about😡. I need to get out of this party..you need to help me. Hes johns grandson
Layla: how will i do that. What so hes ur new boss. Ok il ring and say theres a family emergancy or something.
Saoirse: perfect. As for my job im going to have to look for a new one first thing tomorrow. Thank you layla
Layla: you won't find a better paid job than this one even your childcare is covered but i understand. Il make the phone call now. Anytime bestie. I'll be over later 🥰
I put my phone back on my desk and make my way to john who is now talking to carol. I cant see Eoin thank god. I breathe a sigh of relief. Just as i reach John my desk phone rings and lisa answers it for me. She quickly informs me theres an emergancy at home. I say my goodbyes to John and Mrs Taylor and promise to visit that weekend though i know John will be in and out of here for another few days doing handovers. I grab my stuff and leave quickly. Just and the elevator doors close i spot Eoin trying to get across the room to me. I send a quick text to layla.
