C O U R T N E Y

"Babe, can I go to Kendra?" I asked Harry who was now watching a movie inside his hotel room. He asked me to watch it with him and I said yes.

We already finished one movie when I remembered about Kendra. She doesn't have a partner and I was worried of what she might be doing. Her alcohol tolerance is too low and she can't drink that much.

If ever she gets drunk, she will be needing someone to help her. And I doubt that his brother will be with her all throughout the party. I'm sure he'll be busy mingling with his own friends.

"Take care of Kendra, okay?" he said and I nodded.

I know how Harry cares so much for Kendra and I'm totally okay with it. They were friends first before he met me anyway. So it's understandable that he worries about her so much. I won't be surprised if he chooses Kendra over me.

I'm that selfless.

I stood up and went out of his hotel room to go to the banquet hall. The music was now mellow and the number of people were now low. Mostly, boys had stayed and only a couple ofgirls were seen in the hall.

"Have you seen, Kendra?" I asked Luke who passed by me. He was reddish now. Must be because of alcohol. Boys and their never ending love for alcohol.

"She left awhile ago. Why are you asking?" he answered and smiled sheepishly.

I tapped his back and looked at him with pity. "You're drunk." I said and left him.

Going out of the banquet hall, I tried to guess where Kendra would have been. Will she be in her hotel room right now? I pulled out my phone and texted her.

I waited for awhile but there was no reply. It's either she's asleep or she's somewhere still awake without her phone. Where on Earth could she have gone to?

"Is Kendra okay?" Harry asked when I answered his call.

"I haven't found her yet. Try texting her Harry, she might reply to your text."

"She's not replying to me too, babe. Do you think she's okay?" he said and I abruptly got a bad feeling.

"I'll try finding her again, babe. Call you back when I see her."

"I'll help you too then. I'll call you too when I find her." he said and I couldn't help but feel relieved. Harry is really my comfort zone. He sweeps my worries away every time.

"Okay, call you later." I said and ended the call to look for Kendra again.

Oddly, I was feeling anxious and skittish now. My gosh. My heart beat doesn't settle in its normal pace and it adds up to my anxiousness.

I certainly need to find Kendra right now so that my anxiousness would go away. I'm feeling so uncomfortable and I'm not feeling okay. My instinct is telling me to find Kendra right away.

I was currently in the floor where Kendra's hotel room was located. I asked the people next to her room if they saw Kendra go into her hotel room. Everyone said they did not saw her and that no one went inside the room.

Desperate to find Kendra, I even requested the hotel to grant me an access to the CCTv cameras located on the floor of Kendra's hotel room. Based on the time frame, Kendra was seen walking towards the left corner of the floor almost an hour ago.

"Thank you very much." I said and ran out to go to the top floor again. I need to find Kendra. I'm having a bad feeling about this whole seeking.

When I arrived to the top floor, my eyes caught a white clothing and I saw Kendra entering the elevator. My eyes bawled and ran to her but the elevator quickly closed. I cursed in my mind and frantically pushed the buttons as much as I can.

I cursed again and ran to the next elevator which just opened. Kendra was going to the lobby. But why was she going there?

While the elevator is descending, I couldn't help but bit my lip. I still am having a bad feeling and I'm not liking it. My anxiousness is making me tap my feet in annoyance. Why is the elevator awfully slow today?

I was surprised when the elevator opened but I wuickly regained myself and ran out of the elevator. I looked at the exit of the hotel and saw Kendra running towards it.

"Kendra!" I shouted to catch her attention but I was given no response. She just continued running like crazy and I lifted my gown to run faster.

While running I remembered that Harry wanted me to call him if I find Kendra. His phone rang for three times before he picked up.

"Dis you find her babe?" he asked and I wasn't able to answer him quickly.

Curse it! I'm not athletic and my cardio is giving up on me. I should have went to the gym yesterday if only I was informed that I had to run today.

"She's.... she's..." Still, I couldn't answer.

It was hard enough to run and answering Harry added up to the difficulty. I swear to God that I'll go to the gym everyday after this. It's making me embarassed because I couldn't run well.

This whole chasing was tiring me out and I looked at Kendra. She was heading to the intersection already and I won't let her be out of my sight.

But why was she even running in a ball gown in the middle of the night? Is she trying out what it felt like for Cinderella to run in heels at twelve o'clock? Curse it because I'm not fond with any of this.

"We're on the road now, babe. She's running and I gotta catch up with her." I informed when I finally gathered enough energy to answer.

"Where exactly? I'll go----" I couldn't hear what he just said because I held onto my gown and in order to do that, I had to get the phone away from my ears.

I ran again and again and I suddenly halted. I couldn't help but be dumbfounded with what I just witnessed. Did I really saw that?
I blinked for a few times before tears went out of my eyes. Goodness. I just witnessed my cousin got hit by a car.

Oh my freaking God.

It was as if I was electrocuted and I couldn't move. She's there...covered with her own blood.

Siddenly, I felt my whole workd shattering and I just fell down on the cold road. I sobbed and picked up my phone.

"Babe..." I called and his answer was suppressed by my sobbing.

I looked at Kendra and calmed myself to inform Harry. We need help. Oh my gosh.

"Kendra...she got hit by a car." I said and I didn't know what exactly happened after that.
