Tyler's POV
We walked in silence for a bit before Sam laughed a little.
"What?" I ask
"I dunno, It's just been a crazy weekend" He laughs
"Why's it funny though?" I ask again now smiling
"I dunno" He says
"Do you wanna talk about it?" I ask
"Yeah I mean we probably should" He replies
"So like what happened?" I ask
"I was sick and tired of having to be in between fights and I'm feeling a lot of pressure with some assignments and it's all a little much for me right now. Family life is shit, I'd rather not be home if I'm completely honest, I'm just so tired" He says
"I know the feeling but killing yourself isn't really the answer at all, you have so many friends and your incredibly smart so you're bound to get into a great college and do really cool things" I say
"That's my point, everyone thinks that and I don't even think that about myself so I don't know how I'm suppose to do great things if I'm confused and don't even know where I'm going in life" He says
"Sam that's the best bit, we are literally at the age where it's fine not to know what we are going to do after school or whatever, we're 16 and this is the year to like party up and have fun and fuck school like the next 2 years are going to be more important then this one" I say
"But then I'll be a stressed out fuck next year and do we really need that?" He says
"Dude just focus on now otherwise you'll miss out on everything completely" I reply
"This doesn't help me with my aggressive dad" He said
"I'm sorry, I've never been on this end where I've got to comfort someone after they've tried to kill themselves" I say
"Well you are doing really well" He says
"I can help you study, we all will help you if that's what you are stressing about ok" I suggest
"Yeah" He sighed
"Just promise me that you wont try to do that again ok because that's something I can't cope with and neither can Zach" I reply
"Zach would've been fine" He sighs
"That is such selfish thinking and no he would not have, he literally broke down today in the kitchen" I say
"That's why you guys were hugging?" He asked
"Yeah why else would we be?" I asked
"Well I thought you were the one that was upset" He says
"No it was Zach" I reply
"Oh" He sighed
"Don't get me wrong I was upset too but Zach was way more which is understandable as he's your best friend and described to be like his brother, he deserves an apology too you know" I say
