Penguin POV
"Notice how close (y/n) and our captain are?" Ikkaku asked
"Yeah, they seem to be getting along." Shachi said
"A little too well, if you ask me." I said feeling a little jealous
"She's just trying to make friends." Bepo said
"THAT'S NOT THE POINT!!" Shachi and I yelled
"Sorry." Bepo apologized softly
"Anyway, if he keeps hanging around her as often as he does he'll probably end up developing a crush." I said
"Who's to say he doesn't already have one?" Ikkaku suggested
"You guy shouldn't be talking about the captain and (y/n) like that..." Jean Bart said
"Why? We're not spreading rumors." Shachi said
"We're just observing how they interact that's all."
"Don't be too surprised if they end up hearing you." Jean said
(Y/n)'s laughter bubbled from down that hall as she ran into the main dinning area. She was covered with soap bubbles, yet she was fully clothed. Law ran behind her, chasing her with a bucket "Get back here!!!" He growled
"No way!!" She yelled with genuine laughter, her expression was nothing but pure happiness. It was rare to see, which is why no one bothered to ask what was happening. She ran around some tables and tried to fake him out, he was a little annoyed at the fact that the bucket was slowing him down and set it on the table. She ran away from him into another area of the submarine, but slipped at the door way, but keeps her balance when they disappeared out of view, her giggles were still very audible.
"That's not something you see everyday." I hummed softly with a smile stitched to my face.
"Her laugh is adorable." Shachi commented
"Her smile is gorgeous." I added
"Agreed." He said cooed
"What just happened?" Ikkaku asked
"Who cares?" I said in a dreamlike state
Soon (y/n) ran back in and seemed really tense, but her smile was still printed. "Where's Law?" She asked almost out of breath.
"We haven't seen him since the first time around." Ikkaku said
"I think I lost him then." (Y/n) voiced breathlessly. "Bepo, can I ask a favor of you?" She asked
"Uh-- sure." He hummed
"When you see Law next, distract him.. I need to--"
"There you are!" Law's voice boomed throughout the dinning hall.
"Uh-- never mind. Sorry!" She said quickly as she ran off back towards Law's office as Law grabbed the bucket on the way back and followed her, the door slammed and I heard her scream, but it was cut off. He used his devil fruit.
"She's a goner." Shachi stated sounding a little worried
"The captain always wins." I said
"Got that right." Ikkaku said
(Y/n) POV
"No!!" I screamed only to have the bucket of water poured on me.
Law was smiling as I pushed my hair away, and wiped the water out of my eyes "That's what you get." He said
"I'm sorry." I apologized only for him to laugh and shake his head.
"Go get changed.. You're soaked." He said
"Oh, gee. I wonder why." I said in a playfully sarcastic tone
"Me too." He played along as he stopped using his devil fruit powers and let me out of his office.
I went to my room and tried myself off then changed my clothes as quick as I could. I enjoyed spending what little time that Law was willing to give me. It was almost as though he were allowing me to be a child again, acting like a real child rather than the one I was raised to be.
I walked out into the main space and saw that Penguin, Shachi and Ikkaku were there, looking at me with sly smirks painting their faces as their eyes glistened a strange colour. "May I help you?" I asked
"Do you have a crush on our captain?" Ikkaku asked
"What's that?" I asked, oblivious to it's meaning "have a crushed him? No.. Why would I do that to our captain?" I asked
"Do you like our captain?" Shachi asked
"Yeah, he's really nice once you actually get to know him. Why?" I asked, still obviously to their innuendo.
"Do you love Law? Would you date him?" Penguin asked
"Uh--" I paused for a moment to think only to have them rather concerned about me thinking as hard as I was. "Hmm.. I don't know.. I've never been on one, so probably not." I spoke softly
"Dang. You two would look cute together though." Ikkaku said
"Thank you..?" I questioned as I heard Law walk in to grab a cup of coffee, he looked exhausted. I understood exactly why he didn't truly sleep, and it's sad. Overthinking, and calculating while trying to sleep was rough, not only that, but also being a captain on top of that only added more pressure. He needed a good sleep.
"You're worried, huh?" Shachi asked as Law left
"About what?" I asked
"About him." He clarified
"Yeah.. He doesn't sleep regularly." I said
"He's always been that way." Penguin said
"So, if you don't know if you love him yet, would you let him kiss you if he moved first?" Ikkaku asked
"Probably not." I answered
"Why not?" She asked
"Because, I wouldn't understand it. No sense in confusing someone over an intense emotion." I stated
"Are always so cold, emotionally?" Penguin asked
"If I'm talking to a child, then no. But anyone over the age of 12 I don't really show any emotions verbally unless I'm engrossed into something.. Like the games we play." I spoke with a smile.
"If you have kids, you'll have to go through therapy to prove that you can show emotion regularly." Shachi said
"I don't want crotch goblins.. I'm not a sperm bank, and I refuse to be treated like one because some guy wants some genetic copy of themselves running around, screaming, and crying." I said with little to no emotion.
"Whoa... Okay." Shachi and Penguin said at the same time.
"Maybe Law will change that." Ikkaku said
"I don't care who they are. I am not having a child." I said
