Reunited

chapter 20

Bet no one expected this update. I'm slowly getting back into this book so it's kind of short. Hope you all enjoy.

Aria had to tell Daniel everything and it appeared he was in work mode as he wrote everything down and asked questions.

Little did she know Daniel was only being professional so he didn't go snap Luke's neck.

"Well I'll add this to the case evidence. Is it okay if a doctor has a quick look. I know Jakob has already taken a look but for everything to be officially. Then like last time a person will take photos of the new bruises" he said simplifying the process to make it seem less scary.

She agreed. It was easier to agree.  And with everything the family was doing for her, she couldn't say no to them.

And so Daniel took her to the hospital where he waited for the same doctors and police on the case to carry out the correct procedures, the case would easily go in his favour so he wasn't too worried.

That night as everyone sat eating dinner there was a tense atmosphere.

Everyone was pissed at Luke, only Xander knew exactly what happened because he got the truth out of the boy.

Both Xander and Ares were thinking of ways they could hurt Luke on Monday.

They didn't know she was their sister but they were already protective.

"Football practice Monday, Luke will be the target" Xander whispered to Ares who nodded. He couldn't wait.

After dinner everyone parted ways. Grayson went to his own home once he knew Aria was okay, he was going to be back tommorow though because that's when the truth was going to be told.

Ares and Xander were going over revenge ideas.

And Jakob who had just found out that evening Aria was his sister was doing everything he could to spend time with her. She wanted to focus on homework and he offered to help her, he was greatful she agreed.

Jakob made a silent promise to protect his sister but make sure she always feels safe coming to him with an injury if it should occur.

Daniel and Jessica were discussing how to tell their children. Whether to tell them together or separately.

In the end they chose to tell them separately just in case they weren't accepting of each other.

"What happens when she asks about the kidnapping, we're going to look like bad parents who never wanted her" Jessica said as tears fell. It broke her heart at the very thought.

"We tell her the truth, there's nothing more that can be done" Daniel said.

"I hope she accepts us as family" Jessica was worried knowing it could go bad.

"I think she will, I'm worried about how Ares will take it, I just hope this doesn't break their bond" Daniel said knowing Aria was slowly getting comfortable with them.

"But that's tommorow. Let's not worry to much until tommorow now" he said hugging her from behind.

"You're right" Jessica decided.

Meanwhile

"Aria you know if you ever get hurt you can come to me" Jake took a break from their study session to tell her. He had seen all her bruises and wanted to keep her locked in the house forever so she couldn't be hurt by anyone.

Aria saw how sincere he was and nodded. She felt comfortable with the family. They were all family oriented. She had never really experienced this and she was dreading the DNA results because deep down she knew she liked it here. And she hated that she liked it because that meant she was getting attached.

They wouldnt be in her life long she needed to distance herself. But that thought left her mind when she saw Jake looking at her waiting for her to reply, he looked genuinely concerned and like he genuinely cared for her.

All the family often had that look.

And the thought of distancing herself soon dissapeared because she decided to let herself enjoy this feeling even if it was only temporary.

"Thank you Jakob" she said.

"Anytime Aria" he told her.

Jakob decided to become a doctor simply because he wanted to help people, he wanted to save lives and he cared deeply, especially for his family.

And knowing Luke was about at school, he had some pretty dark thoughts about hurting the boy. He knew their parents would never home school her, something about socialising with other kids. Which looking back at , he was greatful they said no.

Jake had wanted to be home schooled because he simply hated being around kids who didn't even know how to spell their name, it was a well known fact the entire family was exceptionally intelligent.

Daniel the father a lawyer who had a sharp mind , he never lost a case.

Jessica, a businesswoman, she owned and ran a fashion line.

Grayson, a businessman who always got his way.

Jakob , he was studying to become a doctor and was the top of his class.

And Xander and Ares, they were intelligent but focused less on studying, they loved sports though.

Daniel and Jessica had talked it through and decided home schooling wasnt the best option as he needed to be more social and more down to earth and so they kept their son in school. Jake hated it until he went to highschool where he had made friends who weren't dumb and he could actually hold a conversation with them. He hated how he had to dumb himself down for other kids to understand him but if he had been homeschooled then he would never have made the friends he still had to this day.

Overall,  he knew their parents wouldn't agree but he had to do something. He and Grayson often spoke at school being too successful previous students with the family contributing to the school had it's perks.

And that's when the idea hit him. He was way ahead of his class so he could talk to his professors about letting him speak more at the school in a classroom environment instead.  He was sure it would work because although he wasn't a doctor yet he knew just as much as they did and his professors knew that.

He would do volunteer talks at the school so he could protect her .

He knew Xander and Ares were there too but Like still managed to get to her earlier so he didn't want them feeling responsible for her safety.

I haven't decided on how Ares will react so I don't know when the next update will be as it's them being told.
