Kanari Alizae Brown

"Kanari, mama, I need you to eat something. I let you slide yesterday but you can't keep doin this to yo' self." Kanari just sat there, picking with her food.

Sevyn wanted to take her out on a date since she was still in her depressive episode, but her appetite wasn't letting up for nothing.

"If I order you a smoothie, can you please drink half of it?" He pleaded, wanting Kanari to at least have something in her system.

Looking up from her plate full of food, she took a deep breath before speaking.

"Sev baby, I know you mean no wrong, but can you please not force me to eat? In a way it still kinda triggers me."

She knew he meant no harm, but it was the smallest things that would set her off, and being told to eat repeatedly was one of them.

"I'm sorry mama. You know Ian mean to, I just want the best for you."

Reaching over the table, she grabbed both his hands and held them in her own.

"I know boo, please just give me time. Before we know it, I'll be back on a normal eating schedule." Her smile beamed as she looked at her man.

Sevyn took his thumb and rubbed it over the top of Kanari's hand, trying to soothe her nerves. He could tell that what he said almost sent her off the edge.

"Enough about me. How are your businesses doing and how's your mental state? Talk to me." She said, trying her best to change the subject.

"My mental state? It's decent, I won't even lie. But uh, they sold 15 cars at the dealership today so far, so that's coo'. Then they talkin' bout Covid resurfacing, so Ion' know how Imma do the daycare shit." Releasing his grip from Kanari's hand, he ran his hand through his freshly retwisted locs.

"And I actually gotta plan a trip to Vegas by the end of this week. You wanna come? I know Tank ain't gone wanna go, he hate bein' inna heat fa' too long."

Kanari gazed in awe with the man that sat across from her. She loved every feature on him, if she could stare at him all day, she would.

"Of course I wanna go! I just gotta tell my managers that I'm havin' a family emergency. But with the daycare stuff, just make sure all the parents have their kids get vaccinated and show proof of a doctor's note. Don't stress yourself out boo." She explained, not wanting him to work himself up.

Sevyn just so happened to be a perfectionist, so he would overwork or constantly stress himself out if things didn't turn out the way he planned them to. It was just how he operated.

"I love you." She spoke once more.

"I love you too pretty girl, thank you." Sevyn smiled, showcasing his pearly whites.

After Sevyn finished his meal and Kanari drank half of her smoothie that he ordered for her, they began their journey to their next destination.

"Where we goin'?" Kanari asked, not familiar with the route that he was taking.

Sevyn decided not to say anything. Instead, he turned the music up on her.
