A Little Graveyard

A little graveyard
(11-18-18)

While driving home one afternoon,
I passed a little grave yard,
Filled only with about 25 stones
They were weathered
Crumbling
Ancient,
I couldn't help but think that
It was a beautiful place to lay

When I grow old
One day when my time comes
I hope to be buried
Tucked away
in a little grave yard
Full of crumbling stones
Forgotten
Everlasting
Peaceful

I hope that once I'm gone
No one comes to visit
No one sobs into my stone
For I will not be in the stone
My soul will be dancing
Peacefully
Eternally
Inside the pearly gates

But I do hope that my body
Will lie evermore
In a peaceful little graveyard
So peaceful
So quiet
So forgotten
That no one will ever notice it
No one besides a little girl
Passing by the plot where I lie
A little girl
Who just happens to look out
Her dirty car window
And I hope that one day
That little girl
Will also find a peaceful spot to lie
A place to live eternally
and a place to lay
externally evermore
