The guy that called for me yesterday was very handsome! Although, he looked a bit familiar...oh well! I was unpacking my "kitty gear" when I noticed that one of my gloves were missing.
"Oh come on! I know it's gotta be in here somewhere! Please be in here!"
It was useless for me to keep searching. How could I be so careless as to leave such an important thing!? "I'm an idiot. Oh, I know! I could just ask Nate for a new one!"
I quickly grabbed my phone, dialing my best friend's number. "Hello?" "Nate! Nate please, I need you to get me a new paw!" There was an awkward silence that caused my anxiety to build up.
"Which hand?"
I sighed of relief. "The right one," I whispered into the phone. Nate sighed.
"Do I even wanna know what happened to it?"
"Not really," I chirped.
"Ugh, really Oli? Just meet me tomorrow before your next job, okay?"
"Okay! Thank you, Nate, for always being there for me."
"Of course. I told you, I got your back in this business."
After I hung up, I could breathe easier. "Two more jobs! Just two more, then I'm done!" I've been saving up so I could possibly buy presentable clothes for a job interview. I rolled over with a small smile.
Nate has always been there for me in this business. He makes sure no one tries to pull anything during a session. Sigh, I wish we could hang out outside of work but he doesn't live around me.
