26. You Can't Always Get What You Want

"Vic! Wake up! You've got to see this!"

"What? What is it?" I ask looking around.

Valeria hands me down her phone, with a video of Niall singing.

"That was on Sunday, Val" I mumble returning the phone; "We were there"

"I know! And he was looking at you! Everybody is commenting on this video! They say it's the cutest thing they've seen Niall doing; and he does a lot of cute things! Just look at it!"

I take the phone again and look at the video.

I smile remembering. I know exactly when it was.

They were performing Night Changes and I thought it would be funny if I did silly faces to him while they sang. Luckily nobody but him saw me doing them so it was just the two of us smiling.

"It's so adorable!" Val smiles, hugging me; "The thing is they don't know you're the reason why he's smiling like that. You should say it though"

"I'm not saying anything" I say sitting up. Then I cheekily smile when I remember something I heard yesterday; "You know who was saying something yesterday? Fans. And do you know what they were saying?"

"What?"

"Didn't you hear them?" I ask raising an eyebrow.

"Nope"

"They were shouting Valerry! Valerry! Valerry!"

Val makes a weird face.

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"It's a ship name"

"A ship name for...?" she asks. She gets it then; "Oh, my God, no way. You're a liar"

"I'm not!"

Val doesn't answer. And I see she's suddenly blushing.

"Why are you blushing?" I ask.

"Nothing" she says flushing even more.

"What are you hiding from me?" I insist.

"Nothing!" she answers giggling.

"Fine, I'll ask Harry then" I say taking my mobile phone and pretending I'm calling him; "Hello? Harold?"

"Fine, you stupid" she laughs, "he asked me for my phone number"

"Did he?" I exclaim squealing

"Yeah, but don't get excited" she answers, "Get excited for you and Niall; you two are the cutest couple ever! Nictoria is the most adorable thing!" she smiles at me.
