Samba who was the son of Krishna and Jamabavati, came to know about the beauty and charm of the daughter of Dhuryodhana, Lakshmana. He broke into the Swamayara ceremony that was arranged for her and kidnapped her forcefully as she was not interested in marrying himThe Kauravas in response launched an attack to arrest him and rescue Lakshmana. In spite of initial resistance,Samba eventually was held as a captive. Balarama, representing the Yadavas goes to Hastinapur to free Samba. After the peace talks had failed, he shakes up entire Hastinapura with his plough and in fear the Kauravas handover Samba and Lakshmana to him.
