Urvashi’s Pov :

“ Please Urvashi, do not call me Jiji…it makes me feel so old,” she dramatically said with an offended face while I and Moti laughed at her, as Moti draped the veil across my bosom,

( Jiji - Elder sister)

We were currently in my dressing room. Moti was helping me change my dusty clothes into clean one's, all the time accompanied by Mehrooni’s bunter. She has been going on and on about her Rajveer Bhai Sa and his childhood. I am for sure enjoying his infant days, when she told me that once his Mother made him wear Ghagra-choli at the age of five because she desired for a girl instead Rajveer was begotten.

I swear I never laughed this hard while imagining him twirling in a skirt.

She was indeed genuine and has a great character, carefree and lovely, why would she not…she is HIS sister after all not some bitch or hyena, right ??, my inner voice scoffed and reminded me when i had been cursing her on my birthday banquet, hey bhagwan hume maaf kar dena, humne apni hi hone wali nanad ko bina jaane kitne apshabd keh diye, and here she has been so sweet and nice to me.

( Oh God, please forgive me, I have said so many abusive words to my future sister-in-law without knowing.)

We became friends in no time, she was two years older than me, so i opted to call her Jiji for which she just showed her obvious reaction.

I chuckled lightly and agreed,

“ As you wish, Jij…Mehrooni,” she glared at me when I mistakenly called her Jiji,

Latter she grinned and chimed in,

“ When will we go back to the Courtyard .... I did not have my lunch, I am literally starving, moreover someone did not let me eat because he was worried for a certain fortunate woman,” i could feel my flushing state when her eyes gleamed teasingly while I gave a shaky smile and swallowed repeatedly,

What if she think that I am trying
woo her brother….though I really
am. But I do not want her to know that. I mustered my confidence,

And said,

“ Even i did not eat anything…I think we should head out,…if Bhai Sa got to know that I have skipped yet another meal he will definitely smack my head,” I really avoid his scolding these days,...he is turning into a scary man.

“ I wish one day he will smack me too,” she mumbled and giggling delusionally as I and Moti exchanged a dumbfounded look,

I frowned and clarified,

“ Nahi Mehrooni humare Bhai Sa bahut ache hain,” Moti gave me a done face, “ haan kabhi kabhi thoda krodh karte hain lekin mahilao par haath nahi uthate, bahut sanskari hain Bhai Sa,” i finished and she looked at me

( no mehrooni my Bhai Sa is the best,) ( Yes, sometimes he gets a little angry but he never raises his hand on women, my brother is very cultured.)

And sighed,

“ That's the problem,” i raised my brows in question and she waved off saying, “Nothing...i was just blabbering…now come on we have a feast to attend, so let's fill our empty wells before my well’s frog falls sick.” pouting as she circled her tummy childishly, she is weird. Both brother and sister are alike.

While on our way to the Courtyard, Mehrooni chatted from nothing to everything, we sat in our place and had our lunch. I asked Moti to bring herself a platter as well,
