The Promise

The Answer

***Beth**

A huge smile came across my face and it didn't want to leave .
I can't believe that Jake would be so shy to ask me that .
My parents , Alex 's mom and Alex all came into the kitchen and saw me and my mother asked ," What are you smiling about ?".
I didn't answer her because I was in my own world .

Someone shuck me out of my world and back to reality .
I saw that it was Alex .
"Beth ! ". Alex said. 
"What ?" I asked.
"Your mother aksed why you're  smiling so much ," Alex said and went to the counter chair and sat in it .
"Ohh , its nothing ," I said .
"Don't lie to me ," My mother said .

"Its really nothing ," I said as walked to the steps .
When I reached the steps , my mother said , " That necklace is beautiful ".
I tried not to simile or blush when my mother said that .
"Thanks ," I said and went up the stairs to my room .
I closed my door and flopped on my bed with the note Jake wrote .

I grabbed my phone and texted him .

B-Jake .
J-Yeah .
B-The note was sweet but I never thought you would be so shy to ask .
J-I'm not shy .
B-Then why didn't you ask me in person .
J-I..
B-Because you were too shy . Stop acting cocky for once .
J-Sorry .
B-It's okay but I have an answer .
J-What is it ?
B-It's a surprise .
J-Beth!
B-😂😂
J-Please don't make me stay up all night thinking about your answer .
B-Then you should have told me when I asked about my surprise. For now , be patient .
J-Fine .
B-Goodnight
J-Now you got me thinking about you all night . Its okay , I always do that . Night my beautiful .

When he texted me that , I blushed .
I closed my phone and went off my bed and went to the bathroom and took a shower . When I was done , I put on some comfy clothes and went to bed .

**The Next Day **

I woke up by someone shaking me .
"Beth , wake up ," The person said .
"What ?" I said in a sleepy tone. 
"Wake up ," Alex said as I  recognized his voice .
"Ugh , what do you want Alex ," I said rolling over more into my bed so that Alex couldn't touch me .
"Beth ! " He said .

"Ugh , what ?" I said as I sat up in my bed .
"We have to go , get up ," He said and walked out of my room .
"Ughh ," I groaned . I got up and went to my closet to find it almost empty .
I chose an outfit to wear and went to the bathroom and took a bath .
When I was done , I was ready for the cruise.

I went downstairs and saw that no one was inside .
I went outside to see my parents , Alex's mother , Alex , Cathy , Ally , Jake and Anna .
"Morning ," I said .
"Morning ," They all said .
"Ready to go ?" My mother asked me .
"In a minute ," I said as I went to my friends and Jake .

"Hey guys ," I said. They tackled me with a tight hug .
"I don't want you to leave ," They said .
"Me too ," I said . We hugged it out and said our goodbyes and also made a  promise to FaceTime each other everyday  .
They went to where the others were and that left me and Jake .

"Hey ," He said .
"Hi ," I said .
"I really don't want you to go ," He said .
"I want to stay with you ," I said.
He smiled and said ,"Does that answer my question ?".
"I should wait until I want to tell you ," I said .
"Beth ! " He said .

I laughed at him for thinking I was going to make him wait more .
"My answer to your question is yes ," I said and that made a big simile come on Jake 's face .
He leaned closer to me and kissed me .
I kissed him back .  We did this for awhile until my parents honked to get our attention .

"I should go . We will text everyday ," I said as I went to my parents car. 
Jake , Ally , Cathy and Anna all stood next to each other and waved us goodbye while we drove off .
As we drove off and turned a corner I couldn't see them anymore.
My mother saw my sad face and said," It will be fun trust me ".

I didn't say anything .  I just looked out the window daydreaming about random things .
