jae tried to say something but he couldn't once again but jae pointed at his clothes
"what's wrong with you boy?" pops asked seeing he wasn't speaking. Jae shrugged and frowned
"you did a good job jae. look I'm alive" pops said making jae smile. jae turned around and saw Cartier and seven

"it's okay stink"'she wanted to cry but if she did she would make jae feel bad. jae just looked around observing everything
grandma walked in with food and clothes.
"hey papa" grandma said kissing his forehead watching him stare at her blankly. There was no emotion in his eyes
it hurt everyone to see a child who used to be so open happy and friendly completely change and isolate his emotions

"stink we gotta go home and get you clean then we can come back to see pops okay?" Cartier said and jae nodded

seven sat up on the edge of the tub watching him
"jae?" Seven called out for him and jae looked up playing with the cars in the bath
"you see who hurt pops?" he asked and jae thought about it and nodded slowly. seven pulled up a picture of Cartiers mom
jae shook his head. that happened a few more times before he showed a picture of Cartiers sister Jayda and jae nodded
"anyone else?" jae shook his head to show him there was no other people. jae watched seven shake his head and put his phone down
"is pops going to die?" Jae spoke to seven for the first time since the situation
"nah he isn't. Pops too strong" jae eyes stayed fixed on his hands. he couldn't sleep more than three hours because he would be scared
"me and yo momma are going to do a party to find out if the baby is a princess or prince" jae looked up suprised
"can I help?" the gender reveal was next month and Cartier couldn't stop thinking about it.that was all she wanted to talk about
"yea what should we do?" seven asked seeing jae smile while thinking of ideas
"you don't have to think now we have a lot of time" seven laughed at him.

"can I sleep here?" it was 11pm and seven and Cartier were watching a movie while cuddling. Cartier wasn't feeling too good
jae tried to sleep but he couldn't he was too scared and paranoid to sleep alone so he went to see if his parents were awake
"yea stink just close the door behind you" jae walked in and closed the door behind him and walked over to the bed before crawling on it
the created a space between them letting jae sleep in the middle of them. it took less than a minute he was knocked out
"my poor baby" Cartier wanted to cry. her hormones were kicking her ass right now. she was just very emotional
"he gon be good he strong mama" seven reassured her. Cartier eyes were filled with pain watching jae sleep

"jayda did it" Cartier head snapped into his direction. she was confused

"jae saw her" Cartier started thinking about all the ways she was gon beat her sister up

"sorry stink sleep everything's okay" since that night he had been a very light sleeper. so it wasn't as hard to wake him up as before
he slowly went back to sleep
