I WAS NOW AT BELLA'S PLACE. When Jacob lands on the balls of his feet. I sense that he was near but not that close. Bella is stunned. He freezes, listening for Charlie. Nothing. A bitter, self-satisfied grin spreads on his face. It pisses me and Bella off. He takes in her room.
Jacob looked at me with a smile but fall quickly
Jacob just looked at me almost liked he hated me. I didn't like that.
"Why are you here?" Bella asked him taking the focus off me which I appreciated
"I had to talk to you. Alone." Jacob looked at me coldly
I scoffed placing my hand on Bella's shoulder. Bella nods and I take my hand off her shoulder.
I started to walk away
"You're not leaving right?" Bella asked me before I left out of the room. I turned around facing her.
"No, as soon as Jacob leaves come get me. I'll be downstairs." I told her and walked downstairs
I made it to the kitchen table where I use my vamp hearing
"To kick me in the gut again? It was bad before, but you made it so much worse." Bella told him
"I know. And I want to explain but... I can't." Jacob told her
"Then leave." Bella told me
I smirked
"You're done with me, remember? Get out!" Bella shouts
"Bella, I literally can't explain..." Jacob told her
"I broke my promise not to hurt you, I know. But I'm trying to keep it now. But I need you to understand...even if you don't want to see me when you find out." Jacob says
"Find what out?" Bella asked him
"What's wrong?" Bella asked me
"I can't do it." Jacob told her
"Yes, you can. I'll help you. We can...we can leave. Leave home, leave Sam." Bella told him
"It's not something I can run away from. I would run with you though. If I could. Wait. Wait, I already—I told you. You know this—you can guess." Jacob told her
"I don't want to play games with you." Bella told him
"You have to! I can't tell you, but if you remember—it was that day I ran into you at the beach. I told you a story—come on! I told you a story...about?" Jacob told Bella
"About..."The Cold Ones?" You said it was a stupid tribal myth." Bella told him
"Was it? Are the cold ones a myth?" Jacob asked
She doesn't answer.
"What else did say?" Jacob asked her
"That...the tribe made a treaty with them. They can't come into your land and...I don't know, I don't remember." Bella told him
