BACK AT THE HOUSE. after Carlisle has spoken to the leader of the Denali Coven comes back to sit down next Esme.
Me and Jasper were leaning against the wall
"Tanya convinced lrina to come reconcile with us." Carlisle stated wrapping his arm around Esme's shoulder
"It looks like she changed her mind." Edward stated sitting at the piano
"Seeing Jacob must have been too much for her." Same stated
"Yeah, her mate got eaten by a pack of wolves, who wouldn't have PTSD from that?" Zane stated next from Alice
"Wish me or Bella could have just spoken to her." I stated
"She's family. She'll come around." Carlisle stated pressing a kiss to his wife's temple
Edward, who's sat with Renesmee at the piano, starts playing the piano.
Alice leaves out of the room
Back at the Cullens house, everyone is gathered and listening to Edward play the piano when Alice has a vision of the Volturi coming to Forks to k*ll them all and drops the vase of flowers she was carrying
"What is it, Alice?" Zane speeds over towards his wife
"The Volturi. They're coming for us. Aro, Caius, Marcus, the Guard. And lrina." Alice listed
"Honey, come here." Bella instructed her daughter
Renesmee walked over toward her mom and held her
"Why?" Carlisle asked her
"What did lrina see in the woods?" Edward asked us
"We were just walking." Bella told him
"Ness was catching snowflakes." Jacob added
"Of course. Irina thinks Renesmee's an lmmortal Child." Edward explained to us
Carlisle recounts the history of immortal children for Me and Bella
"The lmmortal Children were very beautiful. So enchanting. To be near them was to love them. But their development was frozen at the age they were turned. They couldn't be taught or restrained. A single tantrum could destroy an entire village. Humans heard about the devastation. Stories spread. The Volturi were forced to intervene. Since the Children couldn't protect our secret, they had to be destroyed." Carlisle stated to us
"Their creators grew very attached and fought to protect them. Long-established covens were torn apart. Countless humans slaughtered. Traditions, friends, even families. Lost." Carlisle explained
"So the Denalis' mother made an lmmortal Child?" I asked him as I sat next to Bella looking at the book in front of us
Jasper rubbed my shoulders gently trying to give me some sense of calmness
"Yes. And she paid the price." Carlisle told me
"Well, Renesmee's nothing like those children. She was born, not bitten. She grows every single day." Bella defended
"So can't you just explain that to the Volturi?" Jacob asked him
"Aro has enough proof in lrina's thoughts." Edward explained to him
"So we fight." Jacob simply stated
"Their offensive weapons are too powerful. No one can stand against Jane, Delilah is the only one who can." Jasper stated
""Alec's even worse." Alice stated
"Well, then we convince them." Bella stated
"They're coming to kill us, not to talk." Emmett told Bella
"No, you're right. They won't listen to us. But maybe others can convince them. Carlisle, you have friends all around the world." Edward told Carlisle
"I won't ask them to fight." Carlisle stated to Edward
"Not fight. Witness. If enough people knew the truth, maybe we could convince the Volturi to listen." Edward explained
Esme turns to Carlisle
"We can ask this of our friends." Esme told her husband who nodded hesitantly
I got up from seat and grabbed jaspers hand. I looked at Edward who knew exactly was about to happen. He nodded
"Can we talk?" I asked Jasper
"Yeah, of course." Jasper muttered as I went walked out of the room and walked outside
"What's wrong?" Jasper asked me
I was silent, I was scared to tell him how I was feelings.
"Darling, you're scaring me. What's wrong?" Jasper asked me once more
"I know we are big on communication and expressing our feelings to each other but I'm tired of keeping you in the dark about this." I told him
He furrowed his eyebrows.
"I have always wanted to be a mother."
The information caught him off guard for a moment before his expression became softer, more gentle. His eyes widened slightly as he thought for a moment
"You know that's not possible, yes?" He asked softly.
"I just thought you let you know. I know we're big on communication and opening up about things like this." I stated to him
He nodded as he let out a small chuckle, it was something you did often to remind the two of you about how open and communicative you tried to be with one another.
"Yes, we are...and thank you for telling me." he smiled a bit and hugged you squeezing you tighter against him before sighing sadly.
