(6) Playing Pool

Later that night while everyone else was in the hot tub Chloe and Bucky were upstairs Bucky was bent over her showing her how to play pool. "Just like this." he whispered

She missed the ball and he said "Go again baby doll let's try again.'  as he put her back into position. She made the pocket and gasped "I did it!"

She hugged him and he said "Now let's really play"

He put the balls back into the triangle and broke them. He made the first pocket and then she took her turn. They played several rounds then did some foozeball as well. They finally went downstairs to their rooms they went into her room and he interlaced his fingers with hers and kissed her forehead. "Good night darlin." he whispered

"No..stay." she whispered as she looked up at him.

"Baby I can't stay in here." he said

She made the pouty face at him and he pushed her bottom lip back in. "Baby doll you don't give me that look."

She made the look added in some whimpers. "Don't.. darlin oh god don't do that to me. " he whispered

"You said last night that you miss it." she said

"I know I do.. but." he said

"Is it cause you have a girlfriend back home that you don't want me to know about." she said

"No that's not it. You are beautiful darlin and I'm afraid to put you in a situation that might make you uncomfortable. I heard you earlier baby doll I don't want you getting attached again you were hurt for months when we were told we had to stop and when I got my first girlfriend Norah you were so hurt so please doll baby understand." he said

She looked down and wiped tear. "Chloe.." he whispered as she walked away and got in her bed and turned off the lamp. She wiped more tears "Chloe darlin please I'm trying to save us both. I"m trying to make sure I don't do something stupid if I lose my self control and hurt you. It's different now." he said

"I get it okay..I"m to much of a baby." she said

"Chloe I didn't say that.." he said 

When she didn't say anything he walked out and went to his room to take a shower. He changed into a pair of ball shorts and a t shirt. He laid in his bed staring at the ceiling in the dark. Finally he got up and went into her room. He got in bed with her and cuddled up behind her started to play with her hair. She rolled onto her back and looked up at him "Promise me that when we go back home and I go back to campus that you will be okay when I leave." he whispered.

"I promise.. " she whispered

They got into their old position of her own her back him playing with her hair and him laying on his stomach with one leg over hers as she played with his hair they both slowly started to fall asleep.
