Every time envy arises in your heart against someone. Take it as a leading to pray for that person and watch the envy leave.
Every time I can be tempted to envy someone, I try to pray for them, declare blessings over them and for God to do more over their lives. This is a strategy God taught to combat envy. You can't pray for blessing upon someone over and over again and the envy stays. The envy will start to leave the more you pray for them, the more you declare, even taking minutes or even hours to pray for them. That envy will leave and you'll be filled with love. For where love is, envy has to FLEE.
Being filled with the love of Christ casts out envy.
