This update and all that follows are for those who are okay with the book being long. For those who are not, the book ended with chapter 342. (Yap... This is me being petty.) So I don’t expect complaints about the book being long again. Those people, I believe they have left the room for good.

👼 MY ANGEL 👼

Rosanna’s eyes went so wide that they almost fell out of their sockets. Her heart was beating too fast, and it ached. “So you mean to say that...” She couldn’t even finish her words.

“Yes, mother. Elsa is my twin sister. We’re just not identical. That is why she looks like grandma.” Victoria finished the words for her.

“Oh my god!... I... Elsa... Elsa is my baby girl? Sofia, did we just find Gloria!” She explained, her expression both shocked and confused.

“Yes, Mum. Believe me. If you want to prove this, ask her for a DNA test.”

Despite Victoria’s words, Rosanna still had some doubts about everything. She did not fully believe it.

“But... Your father and I heard her say the name Jenna Halverson in court, and we had a DNA test done on her after she died. It came back negative. We didn’t tell you because we didn’t know how you’d react to such information. We thought we would tell you if it came out positive, but when it was negative, we didn’t see the need to.”

When Victoria heard that, she gritted her teeth in anger. They had done a DNA test before? So this could have all been avoided if Elsa had played her cards differently and said Esther was lying? Victoria couldn’t believe she had just exposed the truth when there was a chance the lie could have been believed.

But Rosanna’s words confirmed what Victoria had suspected for a while. Elsa was not the woman who had been beaten up, and therefore not the woman they had operated on at the hospital. She had been swapped before anything happened to her. That could mean she still had her brain tumor since she did not undergo surgery, a surgery that was supposed to kill her. Victoria smirked as a perfect lie came to mind.

She returned her gentle mask as she said in a small voice, “Maybe something happened that made the tests negative. Maybe the girl in the mortuary was not Elsa because she is still alive. There is no way she would have stayed in the cold temperatures of the mortuary. She is your daughter, Mum... My sister.”

Hearing that, Rosanna’s heart ached as she remembered everything she had done and said to Elsa. Even that very evening she was cruel to her. If they did a second DNA test and she turned out to be their daughter, would Elsa accept her as her mother?

But... Something bothered her about how she was getting this information, so she asked Victoria with her eyebrows furrowed, “But... How did you find out? When did you find out? Why didn’t you tell me? And what truly happened to Jenna, is she still alive?”
