CHAPTER 25: THE DEAL

"What deal?" I looked at him asking with curiosity

"Let's not interfere with each other's business" Deretsong saad nya.

"pardon?" pakiramdam ko ay nagkamali ako ng narinig.

"Gusto mo bang tagalugin ko pa? Gaya ng dati ay wag nating pakialaman ang isa't isa."

Anong ibig nyang sabihin? I am his wife, and he wants me to let him do whatever he wants?! Gusto nya ay wag ko syang paki alaman sa mga bagay na gusto nyang gawin? Anong silbi ko bilang isang asawa kung ganoon?

"A-anong ibig mong sabihin?" Naguguluhang tanong ko.

Hindi ko maintindihan. Hindi ko sya makuha. Akala ko ba ay ayus na kami? Bakit ganito ang lumalabas sa bibig nya ngayon?

"Come on Luna. You know what I mean. It's all fake, I told you not to expect too much from this. I only did it for the sake of our parents, I don't want to disappoint them. Now that the party is over, the act is over as well. Whatever you want to do is okay, it's not important to me. I hope you will do the same." I was surprised by his words. The feeling of fullfilment I feel a while ago was replaced into sadness and disappointment.

Galing mismo sa kanya. Sinabi nya nang harapan, it's all fake. Ginawa nya ang mga iyon para sa aming mga magulang.

Nasaktan ako sa narinig, pakiramdam ko ay nanikip ang dibdib ko. Gusto kong umiyak.

Pero kung ganon ang gusto nya ay oagbibigyan ko sya. Madali naman akong kausap.

"Okay" sagot ko habang tumango tango pa at nag iwas ng tingin, ibinaling ko ang aking tingin sa pader.

May mga kaunting paintings ang nakasabit sa murang kayumangging kulay ng pader.

Hindi na sya nagsalita kaya kinain kami ng katahimikan.

"But I have one favor" I broke the silence because the awkwardness is making me uncomfortable.

"Spill it" I heard him utter using his deep voice

"Let me do my duties as your wife, atleast" Tumingala ako upang makita ko ang mukha nya. Pilit akong ngumiti ng maamo pero wala syang sagot. Hindi ko alam kung pumayag ba sya o hindi. Pero para sa akin ay oo ang sagot nya.

Masyado akong naging kampante, masyado akong nagpatangay sa mga matatamis nyang salita. Hindi ko napigilan ang sarili kong mag assume ng sobra dahil sa mga pinakita nya sa kasal, he presented me to the crowd, he even introduced me face to face with his clan.

At hanggang kailan kami magiging ganito?

Napapikit ako dahit pakiramdam ko ay sumasakit ang ulo ko.

"I will work hard on this. Makikita mo pagdating ng araw, luluhod ka sa harap ko, magmamaka awa kang wag kitang iwan." bulong ko habang nakapikit.

Huminga ako nang malalim bago nagdesisyong tumayo at tinungo ang hagdan. Hindi ko alam kung nasaan ang magiging kwarto ko pero sigurado akong sa second floor ito.

Pagka akyat ko ay hinanap ko ang kwarto ko. Sinubukan kong binuksan ang bawat pintong madaanan ko upang mahanap ko ang kwarto ko. Ang mga naunang kwarto ay pare parehas ang disenyo hanggang sa mabuksan ko ang huling pinto. Bumungad sa akin ang malaki at magandang kwarto.

This is the master's bedroom. It's the only room with a unique space.

The master bedroom is bathed in a soothing theme of beige, The walls are adorned in varying shades of beige, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's relaxing, feeling ko hindi ako mamamahay nito. Tumingala ako at nakita ko ang napaka gandang aranya na nakasabit mula sa kisame na syang nagbibigay dagdag sa eleganteng disenyo ng kwarto,
it also provides a gentle and soft glow that draws attention to it's neutral tone.

The middle part of the room is the big bed covered in fancy beige sheets that make me want to relax. There are two pillows in matching colors that make it comfy and stylish. MasaThe bedframe is made of wood in the same color, giving the room a classic look against the beige background.

The beige theme continues with the furniture and decorations in the room. The bedside table is picked to match the colors, Well, except for the lamp shade laying on the bedside table which is indeed white. Art paintings on the walls have neutral tones, adding a soft touch without being too bright. Even the wall clock hanging is the same as the theme of the room.

The windows are large and have pretty white thick curtains that go all the way down to the floor.

There's a sitting area with lighter beige furniture near the windows, making it a peaceful spot for thinking or enjoying the morning and night's peace. It has comfy chairs and a small table, creating a cozy space in the big room.

The design of the bedroom is a mix of being fancy and comfortable, where the timeless beige color is made more interesting by how the light plays with it. It's a quiet and calm place, inviting me to relax and enjoy the luxury of a peaceful retreat.

After checking the room, I step inside and walk through the bathroom to take a shower.
