"They covered her in roses
Since the day that she was born
Camouflaged by bright red petals
You won't see the blood that's drawn

And they silenced her with lipstick
That they made sure never smears
Then they paint her face so pretty
Just to cover up her tears

She danced just like a doll
And just as perfectly, she sings
Always dressed in golden gowns
Where they would hide all of her strings

And the crowd is full of envy
Of the chains that she adorns
For they witnessed all her roses
But forgot that they had thorns. "
