Suprises

I was beyond shocked. I knew Claire had a son but I never thought it would be the guy I saw at Starbucks!

"What are you doing in my house? Get out" he demands

"Excuse me? I live here!" I yell back. And as if it was perfect timing, Claire walks in the door.
"Oh perfect! You're both here." She says happily

"Mom why is there a stranger in our house?" The guy asks while walking with Claire

"Oh hunny dear she isn't any stranger, her name is Mia, she's my friend Janet's daughter. She's was supposed to be staying with me for the next 6 months but plans have changed that's why I called you to come today." She says

"What? What do you mean 'supposed' to be staying with you?" I ask quite confused

"Sit down both of you, as you know Mia, I'm a business woman and won't be home all the time. I will be flying out to Seattle tomorrow and I promised your mom I wouldn't leave you alone. Which is why I called my son Dylan to come and stay with you. He won't mind right Dylan?" She asks as she looks at him

"I'm sorry but I cannot baby sit, I'm very busy and can't" he simply says, ready to leave.
I am just confused, first my mom leaves and now Claire leaves too! What's happening to my life.

"I will only be gone for 20 days, and I'm not asking you to stay but I'm telling you, you will stay. Now if you don't mind, I need to finish some things." Claire says

"Fine, but I can't stay here. She will have to come to my penthouse." He says coldly

"That sounds wonderful! Go get your things Mia" she tells me

I really don't have a say in any of this. I only am after all a guest. Can my life get any worse? How the hell am I gonna live with this guy for the next 20 days when I can't even handle him for 5 minutes! I go upstairs and put back in what I took out of my suitcase.
I go downstairs and see Dylan on the phone.
I wait for him to finish.

"Get in the car" he simply says and walks away to his car

"Thanks for your help" I role my eyes and say under my breath as I struggled to carry my luggage . The car ride was awkward and silent. I can 100% tell how much he was disliking my presence and honestly the feeling was mutual.

"Well Now you know who raised me, to answer you're question" he says in a monotone voice. I don't reply, I mean I don't wanna say something that will get on his nerves and throw me out of the car so I kept my mouth shut.

I noticed we were in Manhattan and approached a really nice building. He stopped in front of the building and gave his keys to the valet and got out of the car. I'm guessing I should follow him? I get out of the car and try to catch up to him. We get into the elevator and go to the penthouse. His place was AMAZING! The walls were all glass and you can see all the lights of the city. It was beautiful. My suitcase was brought up by the bell boy.
While on his phone supposedly texting, Dylan points to a room and I guess that's my room. Guess I'll be living with a mime.

I go into the room and it looks nice. I get settled and change into some pjs. I decide to take a little tour of the apartment. There are soo many rooms. The kitchen was huge and had white counter tops, I grabbed a cup and got some water. Dylan comes out of what I think is his bedroom, wearing sweats. His raven black hair was parted, revealing his forehead. His clothes sat perfectly on him, I couldn't help but stare. Damn this guy was hot.

"I leave every morning at 9am, I am a co-owner of one of my moms company's and go to work. I usually come home late, depending on my meetings and schedules. Every two days, a maid comes to clean and every day, we have a cook who preps meals and puts them into the fridge, so if you're hungry, get one of the containers from the fridge. Since I am responsible for whatever happens to you, I need you to follow and obey a few rules
1. Be home at 7pm,
2. don't leave without informing me of where you are going and with who you will be.
3. Never bring anyone to the house

I cut him off "are you kidding me?" I start laughing

"Don't interrupt me when I am speaking" he says

"I'm going to be 18 in a week, I don't need you telling me what to do and what not to do" I say quite upset.

"As long as you live with me, you will follow these rules" he says as he turns around and leaves to what I think is his office

I turn around and head to my room quite upset that what I thought was gonna be a perfect summer is now ruined.
Looks like it's gonna be quite a ride living here
