Chapter 35

Aiden's POV:

She stared at me for a while, it felt like decades to be honest but also like no time passed at all. I felt shy and nervous, I saw her get closer to me and I knew I wouldn't be able to stop myself... ' her lips looked so soft and I just want to-' I stopped my own thoughts knowing full well she isn't ready for that kind of affection. I was also curious of what she saw in my eyes "Whatcha thinking princess?" I said to get her attention just for her to snap out of her daze and to blush harshly it made me smile once again. She moved away even though I didn't want her too, she shyly fixed her glasses and pushed back her hair. "I've never had anyone tell me such things, you always happen to tell me many things I don't hear often. Everyday that I have to breathe, I read everyone around me, avoiding people because nobody ever gave me a sign that they were going to be nice but the day you came into the music and saw me cry and helped me with my wounds, I saw the same things I saw just right now."

"*clears throat softly* what did you see?" least to say I was worried 'did she anything bad?!' I just looked at her as she looked back, she just giggled then she-

" Someone worth being friends with. Someone worth communicating with. Someone worth touching." Every sentence she signed made my heart skip a beat I felt my face warm up like it was summer's hottest day ' God WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME PRINCESS?!?!?! IS THIS HOW SHE FEELS CONSTANTLY WHEN SHE'S FLUSTERED!?!?' I. Was. Speechless. I couldn't think, I couldn't breathe, like out of everyone I'm worth it? It felt like the tables were turned where I was the flustered mess and she was the smirky smiley one! " I'm happy it's you, I wouldn't want anyone else to be my first friend "

I composed myself 'more like a fake it til you make it situation' I couldn't calm down my heart but I'm just going to pretend like I'm FINE '>///<' " I'm happy you trust me peanut, really fucking happy 'even though I want to be more to you...' Well how about some ice cream to celebrate our friendship, come on princess Whatcha think?" Her eyes grew big and lit up like it was the forth of July and nodded her head eagerly. 'Man, she has beautiful eyes I could stare at them forever' "Lets go~" we quickly got out of the car and headed inside the ice cream shop, we got in line I made sure she was close by, I ordered our ice creams cups and paid even though peanut tried arguing with me on whether or not she should pay for her ice cream 'of course I wasn't gonna let her pay are you crazy?!' She pouted in defeat but she smiled nonetheless. 

Jailyn's POV:

When we waited in line I couldn't stand still I keep fidgeting looking all around I couldn't keep my eyes off my favorite ice cream! Soon it was our turn to get our ice cream so I signed Aiden what I wanted and he got his, I looked around for a place to sit but he grabbed my wrist gently and led us outside again which made me confused and wonder 'where are we going?'. He probably knew what I was wondering since he just looked at me with smile and opened the door for me as we got to the car. I got in and buckled my seat belt then I waited for him as he got in. He handed me his ice cream, turned on the car as the music started to play again we were in a comfortable silence again. One thing that still surprises me or gets me off guard is the fact he always offers to hangout or to be with me 'when he can of course' even when I'm focused on doing homework and projects in my usual spot in the library. 

Another thing is during our whole friendship is that he's learning ASL very quickly, most likely due with the help of Julia every once in a while he asks me how to properly sign a word or what the translation would be which in all honesty would make my heart flutter since no one really tries communicating with me even though I don't like admitting it gets lonely at times 'more like all the time'. But in the beginning I had to lip sync what I would sign and had to individually sign letters of the alphabet but around the third week of him being my friend he was able to read phrases and sentences but I do go slower for him even though he doesn't know that *giggles*
