Chapter 18

Jailyn's POV:

I couldn't help but laugh at him being flustered it was cute *blushes* Like I thought I looked silly when I was embarrassed but he was hilarious. Not going to lie I'm scared to meet his friends what if they're from the football team or know about the names they call me. Needless to say I wanted to show a good impression.

When I was in class I couldn't help but overthink every situation. I could hardly focus on my work or anything my mind endlessly thinking of ways Aiden's friends could torture me or hate me or what if they made fun of him what if he becomes embarrassed what if-

"Hey don't worry about it Peanut I'm sure you'll fit right in." Aiden's voice jolted me out of my overthinking train thoughts. Which I was thankful for as if he knew I've been stressing over meeting his friends. I nod to him and let out a breathe I didn't realize I was holding in. "Are you sure you want me to meet them? I mean I wouldn't mind but are you sure?" I ask him again still worried

'He's pretending he's just going to humiliate you your not his friend your just his little to-' "For the hundredth time jai, yes I want you there no they won't judge you and yes I'm sure very very very sure now get ready it's almost time for you to have more friends" I sigh in relief as my tense body relaxes. Starting to put my stuff away I open my pencil pouch and I freeze and quickly close it my face blood red. Throwing my pencil pouch in my backpack and shove my folder in my backpack and put it on.

'I thought I left under my pillow!! No wonder I haven't been able to use it... I should really stop... I mean I can use it every once in a while. '

My eyes are glued to the clock my heart pounding my hands clammy my throat dry and sweating endless buckets. The ticks of the clock mocking and taunting me causing me to be twice as nervous. I'm chewing on my lip anticipating waiting dawning.

Aiden's POV:

Watching her be nervous was funny but also worrisome. 'Is she always this nervous to make friends wait has she had any friends before?' Come to think of it I've never really seen her have any friends or hangout with anybody ever since we were kids. Hmmmm that's weird anyways as we're packing out of the corner of my eye I see Peanut shove something in her backpack. 'Is she upset?'

"You okay Jai?" I ask her bending down to her eye level which causes her to quickly look away. It's kind of cute how she can't look me in the eyes hundred percent of the time. She nods to me confirming she's alright and let's out a breathe letting her tense shoulders droop. "Hey don't worry I'll be there okay? When you can't or don't want to be there tug on my backpack strap twice okay?" Saying with a reassuring smile the bell rang and I saw her face grow a little pale. 'Why is she so scared?'

Offering my backpack strap she hesitantly takes it with her shaky hand. I couldn't help but smile brightly and excitingly 'Okay woah chill your introducing her to your friends crackheads of friends but dearest friends. Jesus Christ why does it feel like I'm gonna get their approval. Wait woah chillax just take her already' Taking a deep breathe we make our way to the cafeteria I can hear Jailyn breathe quickening so I walk a little slower to not overwhelm her nor put attention on her or us 'Learning that she hates big crowds and being the center of all eyes '

Jailyn's POV:

I start panicking and hyperventilating... I was terrified I can't w-what if they beat me or taunt me what if they humiliate me what if they know me from before what if... no no I can't no please. As I'm having a minor panic attack I noticed Aiden slow down and reassured me "Just breathe for me Peanut okay? Just focus on my backpack " listening to his instructions taking a glance at his backpack it was pretty simple black with red zipper rims it looked pretty nice. 'I wonder where he got it woah it looks pretty old... how did he get those holes?'

I calmed down and let out a sigh of relief 'wow its sure way faster to get through with help huh... it feels nice...'

"Hey peanut you alright?" I smiled and nodded "Thank you" he smiled back at me which caused my heart to flutter and blush. "You sure you want to meet them? If it's too much for you we can go somewhere else-" I shook my head and signed "No no it's okay I want to do this... please it's okay really besides I have you to help me" smiling at him reassuringly . He nodded "Alright let's go kiddo" I took another deep breathe and prepared myself.

Aiden's POV:

Okay now we enter the lunch cafeteria and as usually is loud noisy and people everyone. I ignored the annoying calls of slutty bitches and just made my way to my friends who were currently eating school food having a blast and chilling. 'Here goes nothing'

"Yo what up *chuckles* " saying casually. "Yo where have you been the last 10mins?" Jenny and Dante asked at the same time which was nothing unusual. "Hey did you bring some of your mom's leftover I'm starving" spencer asked which is starting to annoy me with all these questions. "Guys...." they keep asking and talking to each other trying to guess what I'm gonna say. "Hey." I said in slight annoyed deep voice they all shut their traps causing me to sigh "Thank you sorry guys but shut up for a bit to answer your questions I was busy helping a friend they are super super duper shy like super shy, they are very sensitive so can you please talk with less volume, and just chill the fuck out we don't want to overwhelm her." I huff out in a few breathes as I'm also nervous.

They all say in unison "Her?!?!"
