Villa's POV:

Coming home:

I was alone, in my apartment. It had been a while since I had spent some time in my apartment. I caressed my engagement ring. I was lost and lost in flashbacks of what had happened till now. How I met him, How we ended up like this.

I missed him. He was still in London and had already noticed my absence by now. I got like fifty missed calls and hundreds of messages from him. I didn't feel like talking to him. But I knew that he would know where I was. That's how powerful he was. That's how powerful Knights were.

In fact, I was expecting him, at any moment. It wasn't the fact that his grandmother didn't accept me or they treated me like shit but it was him. He acted differently. He didn't feel like my husband.

I fell asleep thinking about him.

"Ryan, I don't give a shit about anything, just handle it." someone growled.

"Yeah, I know!" he spoke again. My eyes slowly opened as I gain consciousness.

I saw a man's back facing me, who was on the call. I realized I was sleeping on the bed. I don't remember sleeping in a bed. I frowned. I sat up straight and checked my surrounding.

"Get back to me after it's done." he hang up the call and that man turned. It was Ashton. I rubbed my eyes. It was him. I got furious now that he was in front of me.

"What are you doing here? and why am I here?" I got out the bed.

"Why did you leave without telling me?" he shouted.

"I don't want to talk to you,"  I did;t make any eye contact because if I did, my anger might melt. I was in his apartment.

"Answer my fucking question," he grabbed my arm and turned me around.

"Do you know worried I was," he slammed me against the wall. I pushed him.

"Don't act like you care!" I raised my voice. I rushed myself to the elevator.

"What the fuck are you talking about?" he came after me.

Before he could come in, my elevator closed and started going down. Tears were flowing down my face. Why was this happening?

Am I making it big? I thought.

As soon as I made it to the ground floor, I got out of the building. I raised my hand to stop a taxi but before I could run away. He got me.

"What has happened to you?" he asked.

What had happened to me?

I chuckled.

"What has happened to me?" I laughed. I threw my head back.

"YOU!" I yelled. I pushed him as I jerked my arm away from his hold.

"You acted differently Ashton, in London...For a moment you didn't feel like the Ashton I know," I tried to explain but no correct words were coming out of my mouth.

"Villa stop this!" he tried to come near me but I took steps backward.

"Ashton, when she was telling me... you grandmother, she was telling me that she did;t approve...." I was choking now. " You were there." Suddenly his face turned into a pale one.

"You were there, behind the bush. I saw you. But you did;t come to protect me. You just stood there. You didn't stand up for me." I tried.

"Not everyone's gonna be nice to you, just because you're my wife!"  he shouted.

"Why didn't you stand up?"

"I can't stand up for you every time. You gotta learn to stand for yourself. and turned out you're a coward. You left. You left me. I felt so embarrassed." he spoke.
