When Toby was approached by someone, he didn't think much of it as he diverted his attention to them. His mind was occupied when the guy spoke to him, but then he looked up to find another one of those 'rich snobs' as Kellen likes to call them.

It felt as if he was cursed with something else other than the visions he gets whenever he touches a deceased person's belongings. It seems like Toby has the curse of attracting powerful people towards him, and while Aubrey did change his view on them, he still didn't feel very comfortable talking to someone who could kill him in an instant.

This power disparity between them and the general population was unfair, but Toby still shook the man's hand as he introduced himself.

Toby didn't hear what he said at first, it was something about how he was glad to bump into him like this and how happy of a coincidence it was, but all that didn't matter. He just wondered why a guy like him was even interested in talking to Toby.

"I'm Vincent." The guy shaking his hand told him, and Toby nodded his head at him dazedly before Vincent smiled at him with a raised eyebrow as if he was expecting something. "And you are...?"

Realizing Vincent was waiting for him to introduce himself as well, he cleared his throat awkwardly. "Toby."

"Toby." Vincent repeated with a nod of his head pretending that he didn't already know his name. He had heard Agnes' helper calling him by his name. "I came here to you because there's something very unique about you."

That made Toby furrow his eyebrows at him in confusion. "Unique?"

"Indeed." Vincent nodded his head still eyeing Toby with interest. There was so much he wanted to learn about Toby, and thankfully he seemed to be of the gullible type. "Would you believe me if I told you that you have incredible abilities?"

Toby shook his head. "I am not like you. My family isn't powerful, and neither am I."

"I am not talking about your magical abilities." Vincent laughed placing a hand on Toby's shoulder in an amiable gesture. That made Toby tense up for some reason, but he ignored it. "Would you please come with me? I would like to offer you something."

Toby nodded his head feeling like he couldn't really refuse him, and he followed Vincent wordlessly as he left the safeness being in a public place offered. Vincent was taking him somewhere secluded, somewhere he wasn't used to frequent.

The streets had less people, they were cleaner, and everything was much more refined and fancier where they were. They weren't exactly in a residential area, but it was clear that the people there were from the upper class. It made Toby feel awkward and eager to leave, but he still followed Vincent to one of the nice-looking buildings. A rented place that Vincent wanted to use for this meeting of theirs.

When Toby walked in, he couldn't help but stare in awe at his surroundings.

The ceiling was high and beautifully lit up with magical light spheres that floated in the air, and everything was pristine and shiny. The space he was in was probably larger than any house he had lived in, and he couldn't help but be a little envious that this was just a little taste of the life the wealthy enjoyed.

It was really a whole other world.

"Please, make yourself comfortable." Vincent told him gesturing to one of the seats, and Toby obliged, unable to stop himself from comparing them to Agnes' uncomfortable smelly armchairs.

The ones he was sitting on right now were not smelly and all, and a lot comfier to the point where he felt himself relax as he sank into his seat. That didn't distract him from asking Vincent a very important question, though.
