The Other NightFury

Nervous Wreck

Astrid easily won, her skill and talent with an axe was almost dead on. I lost, it being my first day learning to wield a weapon, I thought I did good. Astrid, Hiccup and I were walking around the village. "Astrid, the NightFury was real . . ." He said after a great long pause. All of us were silent until he spoke. "Hiccup I don't know what to believe . . . And you've been keeping so many things to yourself lately. What are these night flights even about? And when we invite you to hang out you never EVER come!" She said. I now noticed tears sliding down her face.

Oh my THORIN! Stuff just got real! This is terrible. They might get into some bad fight, and I don't want to be a part of this. "I'll leave you two alone, I am going to get lunch." I said as I walked off.

Astrids POV

"Why do you believe she has the NightFury?" I asked him. "It would only make sense! The Nightfury that came got here at the exact time she got here! And the sock we found, Skullcrusher follow the scent and it led to Halla's house. We all know she wouldn't have a NightFury, but Eclipse might." He said as we went somewhere secretive. "She does seem secretive." I commented.

"It would only make sense." Hiccup added. "She didn't even know how to use a sword. A SWORD! She grabbed the 'butter' knife for a weapon." I said, although it was a normal knife. "She is definetly strange, expectually when I found out her clan name. She said they're the Nightstar clan, I researched about all of the clans in this area, none of which had that name." Hiccup added.

"Did you ask Fishlegs if he knows anything about her clan?" I asked him. "He knew nothing, which he got frustraited about and researched a bit about it." Hiccup said, and leaned against a tree.

Stormfly and Toothless came into the clearing we were resting at, and they play fought. "If we want to get to the bottom of this, let me Hiccup, I'll be way more smooth than you are." I said looking towards Hiccup. "I don't want to push her, she is a friend, when she wants to tell us she will." Hiccup replied, giving me a big NO.

"Well, as much as I would love to do that, I would rather get the truth out faster." I replied to Hiccup as I got up. "Do you want to go out for a fly?" Hiccup asked me. I did notice how he changed the subject, but I didn't care. It sounded nice and I needed to go for a flight.

I whistled for Stormfly to come over. She sped over and I got onto her back, getting situated in the saddle.

Eclipses POV

I watched as Astrid and Hiccup got onto their dragons and went for a fly. I just came over to see if they were getting along better . . . I was not snooping . . . It just looked like I was. It seemed like they weren't even . . . THEY DIDN'T HAVE AN ARGUMENT, THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT ME! I didn't hear much of their conversation.

I shifted into my dragon form before I took off my clothes, dang it. I was going to play a little bit of cat and mouse with them. I flew up into the bright day sky. It would take me a minute to catch up. Once I caught up, I flew directly above them. I flew about ten feet ahead of them. They couldn't see me because of the clouds blocking their view of me.

I dived down, right in front of their noses. I turned myself over, my belly and my face was now pointed towards them, I looked at them with a funny face. I was freefalling, letting the cold wind go over my scales. They soon recognized that I was a NightFury and chased after me on their dragons.

The NightFury was faster and caught up to me quickly. I flipped over, now flying parallel with the water. I watched as Hiccup reached his hand over, to touch my scales. perhaps to see if I was real. When he almost touched me I heard Astrid leap from Stormfly. I brought my wings back, pulling me to a stop and Astrid fell towards the cold water.

"I'm Toothless." Toothless said to me with a smile. "Eclipse." I replied. The Vikings heard us speak but didn't know what we were talking about. "I defeated an evil Bewilderbeast, I never saw you there." He said. "I don't fall into bad places. I have a secluded island that no one attacks or come near." I said as I looked towards him.

"Who's your rider?" He asked. Hiccup was listening intently, trying to understand what we were saying. "Don't got one, don't need one." I said as I showed him my perfectly fine tailfins. Just then Astrid and Stormfly flew back up to us. "She is smart." Astrid noted as she flew next to Hiccup.

I looked back towards the island, I turned my whole body and flew back towards the island. I flew too fast for them to catch up and landed on the island in a matter of minutes. I got over to Halla's hut and shifted back. I got into the house using the back door. Thorn wasn't in the room where the back door was located. I grabbed a spare outfit that was laying in my room. I threw it on and heard as Halla walked in.
