The next morning, I woke up before him and went to go make him some breakfast.

As I was waiting for the coffee to finish I decided to look at the backyard. It looked so nice that I couldn't help but go outside and just take it all in. I found a clip in the ashtray so I lit it up, sat by the water for a minute, closed my eyes and just admired the feeling of the rays of sun warming my face. 

As I sat there, I felt a hand caress my head.

"Good morning bebe." Oscar said.

"Good morning baby. How'd you sleep?" I asked.

He sat next to me and kissed my cheek.

"Great actually. I'm excited for today" he said with a smile.

"Me too. It's a beautiful day. Which reminds me, I made breakfast. The coffee should be done." I said while getting up.

"Nena, you didn't have to. I was gonna take you out" he replied as he stood up as well.

"It's fine baby. Tomorrow before we leave" I said with a smile.

I went inside and served the eggs, bacon, croissants and coffee and we sat down to eat. After breakfast we took a quick shower, got ready and headed to the beach. 

When we arrived it was basically empty and honestly I didn't mind. I was used to seeing beaches being so over crowded that I never really had an interest in going to one before Oscar mentioned it. 

"So what do you think hermosa" he asked as he grabbed my hand to hold.

I looked around and took in a deep breath. The smell of the ocean was intoxicating.

"Its beautiful. I cant believe that I've lived in Cali all my life and never went to a beach before" I replied. 

"I'm not surprised. You never had much of a childhood, but I'm gonna change that. Now where would you like to sit" he said with a smile.

We picked a spot on the beach and set up our towels. Oscar took his shirt off and folded it up. I was in a trance as I watched him adjust and tighten his swimming shorts. 

"What happened nena?" He asked.

"Nothing." I giggled as I took my dress off. 

Oscar looked me up and down. His look was identical to the day we met again. 

"I got one fine ass girl," he said.

"You don't look so bad yourself" I laughed. 

He smiled and let out a chuckle. 

"I'm gonna go for a swim. You wanna come with?" He asked.

"I can't swim" I softly replied. 

Without another word, Oscar took my hand and picked me up.

"Baby no!" I laughed 

 He made his way over to the water and walked right in. My grip around his neck grew tighter, the deeper he got. The only parts of me that wasn't under water were my head and shoulders. 

"Baby please. I'm scared. Can we just go back?" I asked. 

He gently kissed my forehead and gripped me tighter.

"Nothing is gonna happen. Just feel the waves of the ocean and relax." He softly said.

I closed my eyes shut and focused on my breathing and the motion of the water. My body began to get acclimated to the temperature and I was finally relaxing.
