Since it's my birthday today and I relate to Hiro a lot, I decided to write a short birthday special ^^
(I'll also write a Halloween special and a Christmas special)
In the book Hiro is currently 20 years old and since I turned 16 (yes I'm that young) I figured it would be nice to write his 16th birthday
Hiro's birthday is on the 1st January, so in winter.
Important information before you read this is that: Hiro and Nick aren't a couple yet! They're still best friends of 10 years!
Even if Nick is already in love with Hiro
Basically they are "He (Nick) fell first but he (Hiro) fell harder"
They confessed their love for each other a few weeks after this chapter

Hiro: *waiting in front of Nick's house and freezing his ass off*
Nick's Mother: *yelling from inside the house*
Nick: *opening the door and running outside*
Nick's mother: "Nick you are an absolute disgrace to our family!!" *noticing Hiro* "I told you to stay away from that ugly and scary monster!!"
Hiro: "you're the only ugly and scary monster here"
Nick's mom: *slamming the door*
Nick: "I'm so so sorry I-"
Hiro: "shhh it's okay. What happened to your face?"
Nick: *with a big bruise on his forehead* "she hit me"
Hiro: "Why this time?"
Nick: "because I made you a birthday present"
Hiro: "I swear one day I will kill this woman!"
Nick: "I'll help you hide the body, also wait" *starts looking through his bag*
Hiro: "huh?"
Nick: *pulls out a little white paper box* "Happy birthday Hiro! ^^ "
Hiro: *take the box and open it revealing a broken Ruby necklace*
Nick: "I tried fixing it last minute but I couldn't I'm sorry I can make you another one if you want! ^^" "
Hiro: *putting it around his neck*
"I love it thank you Nick"
Nick: *silent*
Hiro: "now let's hurry to school we're already late"
*later in class (biological magic) *
Teacher: "scenario: the mother can shapeshift and the father can grow plants out of his skin, what is the child's magic? anybody know the answer?"
Hiro: *raises hand*
Teacher: "anyone that isn't Hiro? Nobody? Nick what about you?"
Nick: *system error* "ehhhhhm-"
Hiro: *whispering* "that scenario could be about you."
Teacher: "Hiro I know you want to proof how much better you are than all of us all of the time but if you continue giving away the answers to Nick then I will split you two up!"
Hiro: *offended* "but I didn't say-"
Teacher: "shut it, I don't wanna hear anything else out of your ugly mouth!"
Nick: *whispers* "I think she doesn't like you"
