I sat Zach and Adonis down on the couch and stood in front of both of them.

"This can't happen." I said to them. "I have one child, not three."

They both looked down at their feet, refusing to speak. I took a deep breath and shook my head.

"I'm really confused right now, and I just need the men in my life to get along." I continued. "If you can't do it for yourselves, do it for Kaia."

There was silence until Zach stood up and kissed me softly. "You're right, baby. I'm sorry." He said.

I turn my head to Adonis, who stands up and shoves his hands into his pockets.

"I'm sorry." He says to Zach.

"Thank you." Zach answers.

"I'm sorry that your nose ran into my forehead." Adonis said to him, then made his way upstairs.

I sighed and sat on the couch rubbing my face.

"See, baby, he's not the same anymore." Zach says.

"He's trying, Zach. He's been through a lot."

"But he's derailing our lives." He says.

"Not intentionally. He's trying to figure out who he is."

"Why does he have to do it here?" Zach says, pacing.

"I can't do this again, Zach. Can we please not do this?" I ask.

Zach sits next to me and pulls me into his arms. "I'm sorry." He says, and I nod.

"I'm gonna get Kaia. I think your nose is broken." I said to him and got up.

I walked upstairs to Kaia's bedroom and found her in there playing on her tablet.

"Hey, bunny." I say to her, smiling.

Kaia looks at me and puts her tablet down.

"What are you watching?" I asked, sitting on the edge of the bed.

"My little pony." She answered.

"Okay, bunny, that's nice, but you have to put it down for a while." I said.

"Why?" She asks, pouting.

"Zach's nose is broken. We need to take him to a doctor." I explain.

"Nuu. I wanna stay here with Daddy." She says, giving me sad eyes.

"Bunny -"

She quickly got off the bed and ran out of the room.

"Kaia." I say running after her, and she bangs on Adonis's door.

As soon as he opens it, she hugs his leg.

"What's going on?" He asks.

I sigh and rub my temples. "She wants to stay with you while I take Zach to the hospital."

"I don't mind." He says and picks her up.

"Are you sure about that?"

"How hard can it be?" He asks.

Heh. You have no idea...

"Um, okay." I said and pulled out my card. "This has my number, and I'll leave 40$ for you guys to order pizza in case we're back late."

"Fine with me." He says.

"Call me if anything goes wrong." I say nervously. "And no outside."
