Hu Yi Sheng sighed helplessly while watching Ling Wei
When she is finally out of his sight, he turns to Su Xue and Ling Chuan and starts explaining
"Uncle, Aunt, I will investigate this thoroughly, I swear that I will clear my name and give you an explanation"
The couple looked at Hu Yi Sheng then silently sighed before saying.
"As long as you know what is right and wrong"
Hu Yi Sheng did not expect them to believe him but seeing them not blaming him was already a huge relief
"May I speak with Weiwei?"
"ask her this question"
Su Xue said seriously.
Hu Yi Sheng nodded, then left.
The couple look at his retreating back and sigh again.
Their feeling towards this fiancee of their daughter is complicated.
When he enters the room of Grandpa Su, a nurse is helping Ling Wei dress her wound
Hu Yi Sheng's heart trembled when he saw the wounds and bruises on her body.
Ling Wei did not expect him to follow her, the nurse heard what happened so she insisted on checking on Ling Wei's body and she was right.
Ling Wei truly received wounds and bruises.
"Weiwei you're hurt!"
Ling Wei ignores him and fixes her clothes.
Hu Yi Sheng's eyes were surging with coldness and danger.
There is a beastly instinct within him who wants to wreak havoc and destroy anything and anyone who hurts her!
"Compared to my grandparents, this is nothing"
She said trying so hard to be strong, making Hu Yi Sheng's heart ache for her more.
"Weiwei please believe me, this has nothing to do with me, if I want to use a despicable method, I have done it a long time ago! Trust me, even just a little, please?"
He pleaded
"We are not familiar with each other, how can you expect me to trust and believe you?"
She answered coldly
"I know, but I do feel that we are very familiar with each other! Give me a chance to clean my name and my intention"
Ling Wei did not answer anymore, there were a lot of things that still confused her.
She loved Yi Sheng so much that she was willing to give up her life for him but, it is not the same anymore.
Now there were more variables, her son, daughter, and the whole country.
She wants to make sure that he is still the same Yi Sheng she knows, the same man she loves and the man she married.
She will surely accept him 100% if there is no Li Fei who looks exactly like her when she is in the Long Kingdom.
Hu Yi Sheng saw her entangled look but stopped when the door opened.
"Miss Ling, here are some medicine for your wounds and bruises, please do not forget to take it and apply it"
Ling Wei smiled gratefully and thanked the nurse
"But I think you should still inform your parents so they can help you apply for the medicine, especially those wounds and bruises on your back, you will need help with it"
"No worry, I'll take care of it"
The nurse just nodded helplessly at her answer
"Why not inform Uncle and Aunt about it?"
"I already made them worried to death when I was in a coma, that was enough"
Hu Yi Sheng remembers the day she cried, so he asked feeling uneasy
"Are you still blaming yourself?"
Ling Wei smiled bitterly
"There is no one to blame, except my fate, this is my fate, whether I like it or not, all I can do is accept it"
She will choose to sacrifice herself, even if she can go back, she will choose to give up her life for her loved ones.
Hu Yi Sheng was shaken, for some reason, he felt that there was an underlying meaning behind her words.
Like she already knew her fate and it was not good.
He felt panic like she would disappear any moment.
He opens his mouth to say something but the door is suddenly open.
"Yi Sheng!"
Ling Wei frowns seeing an outsider barging into her grandfather's room.
Hu Yi Sheng saw her frown so he rebuked the trespasser
"This is a private room"
Li Fei pursed her lips in grievance but Hu Yi Sheng ignored it and continue
"Get out!"
"I just want to talk to you!"
Ling Wei turned her head away from them and said
"Please, if you have something to talk about, do it outside so it won't disturb my grandfather"
Hu Yi Sheng stares coldly at Li Fei, suddenly his phone rings.
He glanced at the caller and answered it with a single 'Hm'
The call lasted for a few minutes before he answered
"Whatever the result of the investigation, report everything to the police, no need to hide anything, they dared to do this, they should be prepared for any consequences"
He said while staring at Li Fei making the latter shiver in fright.
She forcefully suppresses it and looks at Hu Yi Sheng.
She is a gold actress so acting innocent is not hard for her.
"Yi Sheng?"
Li Fei asked tentatively making Ling Wei cringe.
The fake sweet voice is truly disgusting.
"Go back, ask your manager how you will both fix this mess, this time it's me you will face"
Li Fei turned pale
"W-what do you mean?"
But Hu Yi Sheng just smiled coldly and turn to Ling Wei.
"I will give you and your parents justice that you deserve"
He pause and coldly glance at Li Fei before continuing
"I will make sure that the real culprit will be captured"
Then walked out of the room to make arrangements.
Li Fei turned pale after recieving the cold glance then weakly follow Hu Yi Sheng.
"Yi Sheng"
Ling Wei did not look back, just keep her eyes on her grandfather.
She bit her lips to stop herself from crying loudly.
She did not expect that her relationship would be this complicated after coming back.
She hold her grandfather's hand and prayed silently for him to wake up.
