CHAPTER 17

Mann me yeh bawaal kyu hai , uljhe kuch sawaal kyu hai. Naakaam toh the hum the din me bhi , 0hir raate hi bawaal kyu hai.

(Why is there so much chaos in the mind, why are there some complicated questions. We were failures even during the day, why is there so much ruckus at night only?)

"If anything like this happens then be ready to face your worse. I will kill your whole family. " Neil said coldly making her shiver scarcely.

Neil was standing while the doctor started to treat Avni she first gave her the injection then  made her covered her with two thick blacket to heat up her body.  She even asked the maid to bring hot water ,to clean her body.

While Neil who saw them working ,  walked to his room to sleep soundly. Meanwhile the maids along with doctor kept trying to wake her.

Lying on his bed Neil tried to sleep but sleep was not reaching in his eyes,well it was nothing new for him as he was suffering from insomnia from last 9 yrs . Getting up from his side he turned on the lights and started working on his laptop.

It was dawn time when Neil heard someone knocking on his.

"Come in " He ordered when a maid entered in his room.

"What happened? "Neil asked the doctor entering inside her room.

"Sir Mrs Khanna, her body is not reacting and is still very cold , we tried to give her the enough heat but it seems to be not working. So now I think that we only have one option and being her husband  only you can do that. "She said.

"And what is that?"He asked when she glance behind him toward the maids standing there.

"You need to give her your body heat." She continued after the he signed the maid to leave them alone.

"Any other option." He asked making her shake her head in no.

"Leave" he said making her leave the room after closing the room door.

After the doctor left Neil walked near her bed ,staring her for few seconds he sat beside her while taking her hand in his, meanwhile his other hand ran over her soft milky white cheek which turned little reddish blue because of the coldness and unknowingly he started to rub his right thumb on her soft lips.

Next morning Avni wakes up due to sunlight falling on her face. She tried to sit on the bed when she felt an immerse pain in her whole body ,her muscles were aching very badly.

"Ouch..."Avni groaned falling back on the mattress when a maid,who was sitting outside her room,  came running to her.

"Mrs..khanna....are you okay?Please don't..dont..move...let...me call the doctor."She said before calling the head maid.

"Mrs..Khanna is awake,please come" She said before cutting off the call.

"Can..can you please help me to sit."Avni said.

"But....ma'am it may hurt you" the maid replied.

"Please" Avni requested making her nod being unsure as if anything happens to her mistress then her master will kill her.

"Ah..."Avni groaned while sitting on the bed leaning her back on the headrest.

"Ma'am are you okay? Do you need something?" Maid asked when they heard the door opening.

"Hello Mrs Khanna,I am. Ruhi, your doctor." The doctor said making her nod.

"How are you feeling ?"She asked while checking her nerves carefully.

"My....body...its paining very much"Avni said making her nod .

"Well that's understandable as the condition in which I saw you, this is normal. Don't worry I will recommend you some meds which will help you"doctor said before writing the  prescription and giving it to the maid.

"Okay , Ma'am I am leaving if you feel any discomfort or something then please call me."Doctor said before taking her leave.

"How did I came here?"Avni asked once the doctor left.

"Umm...ma'am last night you fainted inside the pool then Mr Khanna took you here and called the doctor. "Maid said making her nod.

"Umm...okay can..can you please help me to the washroom actually I need to take a bath and then need go to the office as well. " Avni requested.

"No..ma'am you can't move from the bed doctor had forbidden you and about shower then let me give you a sponge bath. "Maid said making her nod.

Avni was sitting on the bed while two maids were helping her with her clothes while blushing profusely , making Avni confused at their act but then she shrugged it thinking that maybe they were shy.

After having her breakfast Avni fell asleep due to the medicine.

It was 5 in the evening when Avni woke up due to the ringing of her phone. Sitting on the bed she picked it up as it was the video call from Rose.

"Hi , How are you and how's everything going on. "Avni asked picking up the call.

"Avni yarr where were you ? I called you so many times but you didn't picked it. You know I was so worried for you.."Rose complained.

"No..rosee actually I was not well so slept after taking meds. Any ways you say how is the project going , we need to finish it as soon as possible, so that we can go back to our office again." Avni said .

"What happened to you? Anything serious? Should I come to your place? Have you called the......"Rose started but was cut off by her.

"No..Rosie..now I am okay. It was just an normal fever." Avni said making her nod.

"Oka....wait..is that the hickey.....Did you do..it..with..your husband.....oh..my..god..oh..my..god" Rose asked excitedly meanwhile hearing her Avni froze on her place shockingly.

"What..what..are you taking about?"Avni asked shockingly.

"Avi..yarr..dont lie. The mark, on your neck is clearly a hickey. Isn't it?" Rose said in a obvious tone making Avni stare her shockly.

"Ro..rose I have...I have some work. I..I will call you later. " Avni said dismissing the call without letting her say anything.

"No..no..she must have misunderstood. Yeah...it...it..can't..be..possible....he..can't...do..that...no..he..can't.."Avni mumbled glancing around while trying to get up from the bed.

"Ahh..."Avni groaned falling on her knees beside the bed as her legs were feeling numb and couldn't able to handle her  weight.

"Av..Avni..you can do it."She mumbled while trying to get up and started to walk toward the washroom with the support of the wall.
