Chapter 23

Avni was lost in the past came  into hearing her father's  voice.

"Child, we did for your betterment only. He.." Ashish was going to say but was cut off by her.

" I don't want to listen anything please leave from her. " Avni said, controlling her emotion.

"Avni chi.." Ashish started but stopped hearing her.

"I said just leave. " Avni said little loudly when they heard some footsteps.

" So , you are her father. " Bebe said, entering inside the hall.

"Ji..ji. And you. "Ashish said, staring her confusingly.

" She is my grandmother. " Neil said, standing beside Ruhani along with Neav. 

" Oh.. hello, Mrs Khanna.  " Ashish said.

" Hello, Avni, why don't you make your father comfortable and serve him something. " Bebe said.

"No..actually bebe he has some urgent work so he is leaving. " Avni said, glancing at her.

"Yes , yes. Mrs Khanna I have some work , actually I came here to discuss the pagphere rasam. If you don't mind then can we do it tomorrow. " Ashish said, making Avni shockingly look at him, but then she lowered her lashes downwards.

" Yeah , yeah, why not. I don't have any problem." Bebe said.

" It can't be done tomorrow as I have some work, so I think we should postpone it. " Avni said, trying to avoid it.

"Daughters in law , he is your father. For the first time I have seen a daughter declining to go to her home after marriage. " bebe said. 

"We will come tomorrow. " Neil said, making Ashish nod silently, and then he left, but not before glancing at his daughter. Meanwhile, Avni too went to her room without saying anything , not wanting to face anyone.

"Why did you do this to me, dad? Why?" She said, crying , sitting on her bed.

"I did everything whatever you wanted. I even married him only for you guys , but still, you guys left me alone. You left me alone.  " Avni said, crying bitterly.

The whole day passed like this , Avni didn't come out of her room. While Nityam (I have changed Neil's brother name to Nityam and Rohani to Ruhani)  went out with his friends, Neil was with Ruhaani and Bebe, and she was  busy discussing important matters.

It was 9 in the night, and the maid was serving dinner to everyone.

"Where is my one and only daughter in law?" Bebe asked.

"Ma'am , Avni ma'am said that she dont want to eat. " one of the informed.

"Don't know what goes on this girl's mind all the time. First, she didn't want to go and didn't even come to have breakfast. Neil, you really have given too much freedom to your wife, " She said, taunting him.

"You you would have heard me and married a more sincere girl , then you wouldn't have to take  this type of misbehaviour. " She continued, making him clench his hand as never before. He let anyone disgrace him, but now , just because of this girl, he needs to hear such a thing.

"Bebe , it's okay. Maybe sister-in-law is really not well. Wait, let me see her. " Nityam said and was going to stand from his chair but stopped hearing Neil.

"No, need. When she gets hungry , she herself will come. You have your dinner and go to your bed. " Neil said sternly without leaving any room for him to argue.
