"Jisoo, where are you? I'm already here," I said, glancing at my watch. The class was set to start in ten minutes, and I was starting to get anxious.

"We're on our way," she replied, her voice slightly muffled over the phone.

"We?" I asked, my confusion growing. I looked around, but Mr. Kang was the only one who had dropped me off earlier. Jennie had already left by the time I woke up, and Mr. Kang had told me that she was too busy to join us these days.

"You're going to be shocked. Wait for us," she said, her voice trembling with excitement before abruptly hanging up the phone.

I stood there for a few moments, wondering what could possibly be so surprising. My mind raced with possibilities, each one more outlandish than the last. I was just about to give up and head inside when I saw her approaching.

She was accompanied by a tall, broad-shouldered man wearing a pair of dark sunglasses. As they drew closer, the man looked up at me, his eyes piercing through the tinted lenses.

Without thinking, I reached up and smacked him on the back of the head. The man stumbled forward, looking startled.

"Is that really how you greet your best friend?" he exclaimed, scratching his head with a puzzled expression on his face

"Is that really how you greet your best friend?" he exclaimed, scratching his head with a puzzled expression on his face.

I playfully hit Bambam on the head once again and retorted, "Well, you didn't even bother to give us a call, you dumb ass." Despite the lightheartedness of our banter, I was genuinely happy to see him again after his trip back to Thailand. We quickly caught up on everything that had happened during his absence before rushing off to our first class of the day.

As we made our way down the hallway, Bambam leaned in and whispered to me, "So, what's the story that Jisoo was bragging about?" I couldn't help but roll my eyes. Jisoo was always one to boast about something, and this time it seemed to be about Jennie. Without missing a beat, I launched into a detailed retelling of Jisoo's tall tale.

As we finished our lunch and began to gather our things, a classmate approached us from the next class. He informed us that our next teacher was absent, meaning that we could all go home early. A wave of relief washed over me - I had been dreading that final subject all day.

"Hey, we should probably eat outside tomorrow," Bambam suggested, his tone slightly rushed. "I need to unpack and join my family for dinner." I nodded in agreement, eager to get home myself.

After bidding farewell to my friends, I dialed Mr. Kang's number and held my phone to my ear as I walked towards the parking lot. "Hey, Mr. Kang," I greeted him. "I have no more classes now. Did Jennie eat yet?"

"Not yet," he responded to my question about Jennie. "She's busy with a lot of meetings. I'll go there now. Wait for me."

I stood there on the side of the parking lot, watching as students and faculty members alike walked by. Some waved at me, and I couldn't help but smile and nod back at them.
