I yawned, slowly opening my eyes and they immediately squinted when it was hit by the bright sun.

Reopening them, I adjusted them to the lighting and they instantly went searching around the place, and when I saw that I was wasn't where I fell asleep last night. I was expecting to wake up in Jaxon's car but instead, I was back at his cabin, in my bed.

A look of confusion had suddenly appeared on my face when I thought about 'How did I get here?' and 'Was I brought here by Jaxon?"And speaking of him, where is he?

Those questions caused me to sprang to my feet and start looking for him and I, not too long after, spotted him in the kitchen preparing something on the lighted stove.

"Hey" I greeted and as I stepped foot in the kitchen, I made my way over to him.

He seems focused on what he was doing at first but as soon as my voice met his ear, he turned to me, a little smile forming on his lips.

"So...how did I get back here?" Was the first question I asked once I was standing before him.

He first threw the ingredients on the chopping board into the pan then began to stir with a spoon, answering my question as well. "It was me. You looked really tired and wasn't waking up when I tried to, so I just decided to let you sleep"

He shifted his eyes from me and back to the pan on the pot, after he answered my question and in reply, I just hummed.

He didn't say anything after and only resumes back to cooking by throwing a nicely cut meat into the pan with the now cooked ingredients. I leaned on the counter, really having nothing to do at the moment, so I thought I'll just stand here and watch him cook for the meanwhile. He looked hot while doing it too!

The room had fallen in silence like most of the days, however, today's was a little different for the others. It was more of a comfortable silence rather than awkward or uncomfortable and it was actually felt really nice just to silently watch him cook. I hope I'm not creeping him out though...

But sadly, the silence was broken a few seconds later. "Why don't you go have a seat? Dinner is almost ready" he suggested while removing the now cooked meat from the hot pan and rather listening to him, my eyes widen when his words replayed in my head.
