I will keep this part rather short. I've only tried a handful of methods and am by no means an expert on any of them. I highly recommend looking to blxueshifters on tik tok for methods, she has posted about every method i've ever heard of and she answers questions in the comments. I will however highlight the methods that I have tried, and update when I try new ones.

Raven Method

The raven method is one of the most popular methods and it works for a lot of people, but not everybody.

This one works best if you are on your back, but could work in other positions

This one works best if you are on your back, but could work in other positions. You can repeat affirmations as you count, or when you reach 100. Many people experience symptoms of shifting as they finish counting, including tingles, numbness, the feeling of being lifted, bright lights, unfamiliar sounds/sensations, etc. If this happens you should continue to focus on your desired reality and affirmations until you feel you have shifted (if you script an indicator such as a scent or feeling you will experience when you enter your DR this will help you tell)

This also works as an asleep method, once you reach 100 visualize your DR and repeat affirmations until you fall asleep and you should wake up in your DR

This method is especially good for very visual people. Try to imagine every small detail about where you are in your DR (what do the sheets on the bed feel like? Are there any smells? Sounds?) you have to put yourself there, actually feel you are there. This method follows the Raven method nicely, simply count to 100, repeat your affirmations, and visualize your DR until you fall asleep.

The Heartbeat Method

I find the heartbeat method to be a very soothing method, especially effective if you are shifting to a DR where you have a significant other.

I recommend finding a youtube video under 20 minutes, make sure you are comfortable with the sound, make sure the heartbeat is not too fast or too slow, then just focus on the rhythm

Feel someone under you. Imagine their scent, their breathing, feel their chest rise and fall. Once the video ends don't rush it. Take your time, imagining every detail. Stand in the white room for as long as it takes to start falling. Don't force it, just relax and let your mind do the work.

The Estelle Method

The Estelle method is another that works especially well if you have a significant other in your DR, or simply a close friend or figure who you could imagine dancing with.

While it says that the song doesn't really matter, I recommend finding a song that connects you to your DR (I've used O' Children by Nick Cave while trying to shift to Hogwarts)

It can be a sad song or a happy song, if you want to shift to a specific moment, choose a song that reflects that moment. Is it a happy time? Is it bittersweet? The song you listen to has to reflect the desired reality you are shifting to.
