Outing & 'Coma'

Severus allowed Cameron to guide him along as they walked hand in hand along the sidewalk, his friends chatting happily around them.

Cameron thought his boyfriend needed to get out as the young Fae had been sulking for the last few days, though Severus would deny it.

The solstice ritual had failed.

Severus had known that the ritual was temperamental, but he had hoped to be successful on the first attempt.

Unfortunately that had not been the case and this resulted in him sulking for three days before Cameron conspired with his friends and dragged him out of his dorm.

The young Fae will admit that he was enjoying being out with his friends and boyfriend, the upbeat atmosphere helped him let go of his disappointment.

Severus felt his lips twitched as Vanessa smacked Monty on the back of the head after he stole some of the chocolates she was eating.

"What the fuck?!" The man cried, rubbing his head as he glared at the woman who continued to eat her sweets.

Glaring back at the Monty, Vanessa mockingly put another piece in her mouth.

"I should be the one saying that! This shit is expensive and would be a waste for someone as tasteless as you!" She said, haughtily.

Paula snickered from her place beside her.

Monty scoffed, still rubbing his head.

"Taste!? You?!" The man sneered.

"I call bullshit! We've met your exs, remember?" He snapped back, dodging another slap.

Luke couldn't hold back his snort this time.

Vanessa glared at them and Severus couldn't hide his smirk when she proceeded to kick the large man's foot out from under him.

Luke fell with a surprised cry.

"Don't you dare laugh at me! Or do I need to remind you of Melody?" The women hissed down at him, before popping another chocolate in her mouth and continued walking.

Luke paled as he pulled himself up.

"No, no! There is no need for us to talk about her!" He said in panic, voice an octave higher then usual.

This is when Cameron spoke up.

"Now, that just makes me want to talk about her!" He said with a curious yet teasing look on his face.

"So!" Luke said loudly, ignoring Cameron.

"Who wants what? We're almost to the stand and Paula said she was paying!" The man continued, smiling at Paula who gave him a disgruntled look.

"You mean you all agreed I was paying! I distinctly remember you all barging into my room, saying I was paying, and then dragging me out of the dorm! I'm being forced to use my hard earned money to pay for you lot of gits!" She growled, pouting when they just smirked back at her.

Monty rolled his eyes and threw an arm over the women's shoulder.

"You literally did the exact same thing to Severus last month! Don't dish it out if you can't take it babes!" He reminded, completely unsympathetic.

Whatever happened next was lost to Severus as suddenly his hearing dulled.

Blinking, the young Fae stumbled.

His eyes slowly bled black and just as he felt his body go numb pain surged from deep within his soul.

Severus couldn't even scream as he was thrown into a cold, broken darkness.

POV: Cl-I mean Cameron.....CAMERON....yeah.

Cameron ran a hand through his hair as he paced back and forth in the waiting room.

The man's mind was racing.

How could everything end up like this?

Everything had been fine.

Cameron had been quite pleased himself at pulling his boyfriend out of his slump and getting him to relax, but then Severus had stumbled.

The older man quickly caught him, but just as he was about to tease the Fae over what he thought was just a rare show of clumsiness, Severus started shaking.

The older man couldn't explain the way his heart had dropped when his boyfriend started to seize.

The time it took for the ambulance to get there seemed like hours and Cameron had a hard time stepping back to let the medics work.

Cameron clenched his teeth as he took a seat and buried his face in his hands, blocking out the whispers of Severus' friends.

This wasn't supposed to happen.

This was just supposed to be a working vacation to take a break from things.

He hadn't expected to meet Severus.

Cameron had made it a point not to date those under twenty, but something about Severus just made him unable to look away from those black eyes.

The younger man was so mature, it honestly made many forget his age.

Cameron liked the other man's snark and sarcasm, as well as his intelligence, the older man bet he could give Tony Stark smart mouth a run for its money.

He knew that he'll be heading back to America after this was all over, but Cameron had already listed down ways to keep up a long distance relationship.

Cameron knew it would probably get him in trouble, but he really liked Severus and wanted to build on what they already created.

Sighing, the man stood again and leaned against the waiting room doorway.

He had to restrained himself from grabbing the nearest nurse and demanding information on his boyfriend.

It had been nearly three hours since they arrived and no one had come to update them yet and it set Cameron on edge.

Just as he was about to loose his rather hard earned patience, a doctor came in.

Cameron didn't have any time to react before a stick was in his face and...

Blinking, Cameron yawned.

Looking up, the man rubbed his eyes, hissing when the movement jarred his bandaged hand.

Severus lay still and pale in the hospital bed, his legs, arms, and hip bandaged heavily.

The doctors said that the electric shock had caused some bad damage and Severus was placed into a medical coma to keep him from the torture of feeling his nerves heal.

All Cameron had to show for the incident was some burns on the hand that had been holding Severus'.

The man felt guilt settle heavily in his stomach.

Why hadn't he seen the downed electrical wire?

Now his boyfriend was laying prone in a hospital.

He had gotten distracted and Severus had paid for it.

Cameron's phone rang, pulling out of his thoughts.

Taking it out of his pocket with his good hand, he looked at the screen.

Sighing, the man reluctantly stood up, knowing he couldn't ignore it and headed until the hall.

"Hello?" He said, answering the phone.
