7:37pm, New York.
It was Saturday night and Lani laid in bed, scrolling through the endless notifications coming through her phone from the picture she just posted onto her insta story.
Her phone started to ring and she looked at the contact name, seeing it was one of her best friends, Samaria calling.
Answering the FaceTime, it connected showing her outside.
"Hello?"
"Hey bitchhhh." She greeted, sticking her tongue out.
"Heyyy." Lani replied back, and they both started laughing.
"What you doing?"
"Nothing, laying down ina crib.. Where you at?"
"Girl about to go to the hair store real quick and grab some stuff I need for tonight."
"Tonight?" Lani asked, sitting up cause she was confused about what was taking place tonight.
"Yeah bitch you know it's a party goin on tonight."
"Oh girl.." She rolled her eyes laid back down, looking at her slightly over weight cat "cuddles" jump onto her bed.
"Hey my baby." She cooed, hearing her cat let out a small meow, walking over to her.
The small animal purred, curling up beside her closely like she always did with her owner- hence the name cuddles.
"- tonight.. lani? Girl are you even listening?"
"I zoned out after party no funny shit." She replied honestly, hearing her friend suck her teeth.
"Ya boring ass always tryna play the crib." Sam grumbled.
"Bye, I be coming outside."
"Only for club hostings and work." She replied and it was true.
Lani was a homebody, but she just started recently coming outside more, with her social fame- stemming from TikTok at first from her jokes and attractiveness contributing to it.
She gained followers quickly on there with over 1 million followers, and 512k on Instagram.
Staying inside the house during the pandemic paid off after all.
Lani quickly became a "social media influencer" as people would call it, and people started hitting her up to do club hostings, as well as the sponsorships from multiple lucrative companies such as Savage X Fenty, Shesoprada, Fashionnova and more.
