Chapter 4

It's around 7pm and I'm bored.

I turn my phone on and press 'messages'

Hey, wyd? I text Kai.

6 minutes go by until she answers.

Nm, wbu?

I was bored so I texted you I reply.

I'm fun to talk to huh?

Very. I respond with a huge smile.

I'll keep that in mind

Wanna ft? I hope she says yes.

Sure ig

I press face time and she immediately picks up.

"Hey" I smile.

"Hello Ivy" she groans.

"You good?" I ask.

"Mhm, just uh..hit my head is all"

"Oh"

She finally looks up at the screen and damn she looks hot.

"You're staring" she mumbles.

Shit.

"Sorry" I utter embarrassed.

She chuckles.

We continue to talk for 20 minutes about random stuff until a loud slam echos through the phone.

"Shit, Ivy I gotta go" Kai says standing up.

"What why?"

"Gotta do something, bye love" and hangs up.

Okay 1. What was that noise?
2. Was that the reason she had to go?
And 3. SHE JUST CALLED ME 'LOVE'

I'm blushing so hard right now.

But then my smile drops.

It probably means nothing.

I eventually drag myself out of bed and to my bathroom for a shower.

I can't wait to see Kai tomorrow.

-Wednesday-

"Hey Kai!" I smile walking up to her locker.

She mumbles a "hey" without turning around.

"How are you?"

"Fine"

Is she okay?

I'm about to ask but the bell starts ringing.

She turns around still avoiding eye contact as she walks down the hall and towards our Maths class.

Or more like limps down the hall.

What the fuck?

I follow after her and ask, "hey you good?" As we sit down.

"Mhm" she hums and leans her head on the desk.

Maybe she's just tired...

I frown as I turn to the front and start paying attention to what the teacher is saying.

But I eventually zone out and my gaze is focused on the floor.

But then I'm startled by a loud bang and yelling.

The teacher has slammed books down on Kai's desk making her jump.

I see Kai's hand tighten into fist as she stares up at the teacher who yells.
