Chapter 12

"I can't stay long, I have to be home by 8 cause dad gets off work at 9ish" she mumbles as we walk into my room.

"Yeah it's fine, I'll drive you home"

"No I can just catch the bus"

"Kai, I'm not letting you catch the bus at night by yourself"

"Okay fine" she says in defeat.

After getting undressed I pass Kai a pair of swimmers, "here you can wear these"

"Thanks"

After I put mine on her eyes travel down my body and back up, "you look hot"

I blush at the compliment and mumble a "thank you" as I walk out of the room with two towels.

When we get to the pool I dive in and come back up to see Kai still standing there looking down at me.

"What?"

"Is it cold?"

"Not really"

She slightly bites her lips which makes me think of certain things.

I watch as she walks down the steps and I swim closer to her.

I wrap my legs around her waist and hold her shoulders while her hands are placed on my ass.

I'm sorry but I laughed so hard writing that.

"You look pretty" I speak.

"Thank you, darling" she smiles.

"And you have a beautiful smile"

She blushes.

"You also look really cute when blushing"

"Oh my God, stop it" she groans with crimson red cheeks.

"Never" I whisper dramatically and connect my lips with hers.

As our tongues explore each other's mouths, I can't help but moan at the feeling of her hands tightening her grip.

"Fuck" she mumbles against my lips at the sound of my noises.

"Kai"

"Yeah?"

"I love you"

"I love you too" she smiles pecking the tip of my nose.

We talk about random things for a little bit until I randomly ask, "can we have a handstand competition"

"Seriously?"

"Dead"

She laughs, "okay"

I count down from 3 and we both go under water.

About 40-50 seconds later I come back up out of breath, only to see Kai still under.

I wait another 30 seconds until her legs bend and she comes back up.

"Did you cheat?" I glare.

"Yeah I secretly came up for air while you were watching me" she jokes.

"I knew it!" I gasp dramatically.

"Man you're so cute" she smiles pulling me into her arms.

As she holds me in her embrace I suddenly ask, "Kai when's your birthday?"

"November 7th, why?"

I pull away from her arms in shock.

"Your birthdays in 2 weeks and you didn't tell me!?" I shout.

She shrugs, "I don't celebrate it so I didn't think to tell you"

"Well, you're celebrating this year with me, no buts about it"

"Okay fine. But speaking of birthdays, when's yours?" She asks.

"9th of April"

She nods, "so I'm turning 18..."

"Yes. Yes you are"

"I do not want to be an adult, there's so many responsibilities"

"True, but you have me to help"

"That, I do have"

We swim around for a little longer until it hits 6:18pm

"I'm gonna go shower to wash all the chlorine out"

She mumbles an "okay" as she stares at my chest.

"You know...I'd love it if you could join me" I smirk.

"I'd love that too" she answers and pulls me into the bathroom.

We both take our swimmers off and stand under the hot water.

I look up at her as her hands slither around my waist pulling me in.
