Ivy Diaz

"Ivy what the fuck!?" Ma shouts as we've just arrived home.

The police didn't press charges seeming as Jason unfortunately woke up while I was sitting, handcuffed to a chair getting interrogated by the police.

I lied to them.

"What!?" I shout back.

"What do you mean 'what' Ivy, you bashed a kid until he went unconscious! and not just any kid but your friend!"

"He wasn't my fucking friend!"

"Bullshit! You two used to hang out all the time!"

"Exactly! 'used to' I stopped being friends with him when I realised how much of a disgusting fucking asshole he is!"

"And how's that!?"

"Cause he's a fucking rapist!" I scream.

My parents freeze.

"Did he- did he hurt you Ivy?"

I Sigh, "no, not me"

"Ivy don't you lie to u-"

"I'm not okay? it wasn't me but someone I care very fucking deeply about and I lost it when I found out it was him okay?"

"Kai?"

I look over at mama when she said that.

"It was Kai wasn't it?" She asks as I stay silent.

I look down, "look it's not my place to say anything, but please just...just don't be mad at me, he deserved it Jesus If he didn't wake up I would've been happy"

My parents sigh, "now that we know there's a good reason for why you did it, we're not mad okay?"

Ma pulls me in for a hug which mama joins.

"As much as I love this I have to go find Kai"

"You know where she is?"

"Nope, seeming a school ended she would've left...but she's not here"

But then I realise, "shit mama can I have the car?"

"Yeah sure sweetie, drive safe I love you bye!" She shouts as I rush out the door with her keys.

God I hope she wasn't stupid enough to go back to her dads.

As I sped through streets I eventually made it to Kai's apartment building.

I rush out the car and barge thought the doors and run up the stairs to the 4th floor.

I reach door 14 and start banging on it.

I don't care if her dads here.

I bang again and still no answer.

I would call her but her dad broke her phone.

I need to buy her a new one....

"Fuck!" I shout.

I'm about to walk away when a door from across the hall opens.

"There's a key under the mat"

"What?" I ask the old lady.

"Under the mat, there's a key" she repeats before closing her door.

I bend down and lift the mat.

I grab the key and quickly unlock the door, barging in I scan the kitchen and living room floor.

Not there.

I walk down a small hall towards her bedroom and she not there either.

I look towards her bathroom.
