This devotional is based on the song, "To the Table" by Zach Williams. Check it out (it's linked at the bottom of this devotional)! Even if you don't, I'll be covering the main points here.

Sometimes, we feel like our sins are too great. That it's impossible to forgive us for such a sin that we've committed, and that there's no way we'd confess it to God. We feel alone in our battles, and like we're the only ones who've ever committed such a horrible sin.

Like no one else struggles with sin the way that we do. As if God would be too angry at us to hear and forgive us for such a sin because it's too obscene and surely no Christian has ever done that before.

Friends, the devil is a liar.

The first half of 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV) says, "No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man."

We're not alone in our battles. God has seen it all before.

It's normal to feel ashamed about what you've done and to feel like God would be too mad at you to hear your prayers and to forgive you. To feel like you're the greatest sinner to ever walk the earth.

The thing is, though, is that God has seen it before in someone else just like you! He knows what you're going through, he knows how to handle it, and he will forgive you if you would confess your sin.

1 John 1:9 (ESV) says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Don't convince yourself that your sin is too great to be forgiven! Many thought death was too great to be conquered, but remember what Jesus did for you!

Lay your pride aside, be humble, and let conviction overtake you. Confess and be cleaned.

"Bring it all to the table, there's nothing he ain't seen before." - Zach Williams
