Even though I was enjoying the conversation with my family, a little thought invaded my mind, what if the person who set fire to my home and killed my mom, came here and hurt my family? I know there are security guards, but somehow this little fear is hidden in my heart. I quickly brushed it off and stared at the mint choco chip ice cream served in a glass bowl.

I stared at It, then stared at Lorenzo who was sitting opposite to me. I can't eat anymore; if I do, I would start puking, which is not good.

"Okay, who is willing to give Vivian a tour of the house?" Lorenzo who took the hint enthusiastically asked.

"MEEE," Alex screamed,

"Manners, Alex," Dad spoke, though his face showed contentment.

"Vincent, why don't you show Vivian around the house? You'll get to know each other," Dad suggested.

Vincent looked surprised by dad's words but he quickly fixed his composture.

"Sure, but dad why don't you come too?" He looked at me then at dad.

"Why not? let's go shall we?" He looked even more pleased with the offer.

"But I wanted to give the house tour, I even practiced," Alex complained.

"Instead of practicing house touring why don't you study for your upcoming test?" Armando gazed at Alex.

I heard Alex telling Armando to piss off and Dante trying to make them both shut up. We three left the room and Vincent showed me a hall where all sorts of paintings and artifacts were hung on the wall. Dad occasionally commented on them and even gave a little history lesson. It was fun to learn about them and I also got to know that both dad and vincent have the same taste in music and arts.

I saw that there were guards almost everywhere, at every corner of the house. I know that having security for a billionaire businessman like him is a must, but isn't this too much?

I also noticed that Vincent's ears move up and down when a topic that he has knowledge about, is mentioned. On the way to the third-floor staircase, dad suddenly stopped which made me, who was behind him, bump into his back. His back is like a rock and my nose hurts now.

"Vivian there's something we should talk about," Vincent said, his voice absolutely serious.

"Okay, is something wrong?" I asked, my heart started beating very fast. Are they going to say that I can't be with them anymore? Or will they say they don't like me? I don't know but I hope it's not something bad.

"Nothing to worry about, just some rules that you have to follow," Dad said, the way he expressed it sounded like the rules are going to be tough ones.

"First is that you must never, ever go to the third floor. Only during emergencies, you can come up okay? " Vincent said.

"But why?" I asked.

"We have a lot of meetings there and some people keep coming and going, and it will be very uncomfortable for you," Dad said,

"The second rule- no dating till your 50, got it?"

"Third-  No doing drugs or smoking, drinking, or anything that harms your well-being.

"Fourth- NO backtalking, showing attitude, and please respect everyone in this household,"

"Fifth- as a precautionary measure, you must tell either your brother or me your whereabouts whenever you go outside"  Dad raised his eyebrow to see if I understood.

"Well, first I won't go near the third floor, don't worry. Second, no dating till 50 is excessive, please change that. Third, I know the dangers of doing that so please don't worry about it. Fourth, I'll only give respect when I get respect, and lastly, I can't say where I'm going every single time, so if I don't please understand," I said in one breath. The last rule honestly pissed me off, but I don't want to complain right now.
