Bluebell^^^^^^^

------------------------------------------------

It's difficult living in this world.

Specially for Bluebell, being the old soul that she was. Being different has always been a problem and not necessarily for the better.

She was a loner. loved staying alone. loved being different than everyone else. when all the kids went out to hang out in the popular spot, she was home reading books about remedies. To say she was the "freak" of the town would be an understatement. She didn't care about what they cared about, she didn't want what they wanted, she wasn't like them.

Bluebell lived in a small cottage with her grandmother. People generally stayed away from those two, called them witches, made up rumors about them. Bluebell and her grandmother knew all about that of course but still the only vivid memories Bluebell has are of injured people lying in their house, on a mat on the floor. Plants and herbs everywhere, her grandmother chanting under her breath.

In 3 days a man who was on the verge of death was up and limping. Hanging on someone's side. Her childhood was spent walking out to the woods with her grandmother, gathering plants.

"what is that purple one called?" she would ask

"bluebell" bluebelle would reply

"and what is it?"

"it's a healing flower used for everything"

her grandmother would kneel down in front of her "and what's your job?"

"to heal..?"

"your destiny is to heal" she said "come on, it's getting late"

She remembers being angry, crying. She walked into the cottage absolutely livid. Some girls bullied her, pushed her down a pile of manure. Called her grandmother a witch, threatened them both and eventually kicked her in the face, knocking her out.

She walked in shouting, saying she will kill them all.

"I hate them all" she screamed as her grandmother washed the animal crap off her "I wish they'd all di-"

"no!" her grandmother said, holding her face "no sweetheart"

"but they're monsters"

"that's their choice" she said "you're better than that"

Another time Bluebell watched during school as the kids found a new prey to bully. Finally relieved to be off the hook for once and scared to be right back on it. She joins the fun. Laughing with them and swallowing her unease at their teasing, their insults, their shoves. When she got back to her grandmother she was so guilty she cried at the doorstep, telling her she turned into a bully.
