Let's talk about forgiveness
This is something that I've personally struggled with. I always felt like if I forgave people easily then they might start to take advantage of me or something. But I've learnt that forgiveness has nothing to do with the other person, it has everything to do with us and our relationship with God. Forgiveness is for you! When you don't forgive people you become bitter and might start to take it out on others around you. Mark 11:25 explains that if we don't forgive others, God won't forgive us.
Think about it, why should he forgive you if you won't forgive others? It's hypocrisy to want someone else's forgiveness and not be willing to forgive others. I know it's hard, trust me. There are some people who we think don't deserve forgiveness. But if you think about it, what did we do to deserve Gods forgiveness?- nothing, yet he still forgives us.
If there's anyone in your life right now that you haven't forgiven please forgive them and ask God everyday to check your heart. Pray that he will help you learn how to love and forgive others because without love we have nothing.
