Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery."
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭2:14- 15‬ ‭‬‬

Christ died in our place so that we wouldn't have to. We've committed sins in the past and still do sometimes. We all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God ( Romans 3:23). Nobody, not even the "good people," is perfect. We have made mistakes and still will but it's okay. Don't be hard on yourself for things you've done in the past, if you repented, you have been forgiven. You can't change the past you can only learn from it. Trust that God loves and has forgiven you if you ask him (1 John 1:9) Focus on the now and how you can do better with his help! God loves you, don't forget.

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9

"Therefore he had to be made like his brothers in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted."
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭2:17-18‬ ‭

Jesus went through everything that we've been through, maybe even worse. He was hated, beaten, betrayed, tempted by the devil, and went through so many other things when he was innocent. He never deserved any of that. He was always loving. Even when he told the truth, it was in love (we should all try to do the same thing). So if you're struggling with any sin, know that it can be overcome through Christ. 1 Corinthians 10:13 says, "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." From that verse we can see that it is possible to get through our struggles. If you're going through anything, have faith in God that he can help you. Pray to him and tell him to check your heart of any sin. Ask him to always help you be who he created you to be. Ask him to help you love and treat others right, regardless of how hard it can be sometimes to love difficult people lol. It is possible! Let me know if you're struggling with anything. I'm here to talk and pray for you.❤️
