Advice 17: God will leave the 99 for you

"What do you think? If someone has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, won't he leave the ninety-nine on the hillside and go and search for the stray?
Matthew‬ ‭18:12

Sometimes when we sin, and ask for forgiveness, it's hard for us to believe that God had truly forgiven us and that he's not mad anymore. We need to believe Gods word and not what our feelings say or what the enemy tells us. 1 John 1:9 says that, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Gods word says that he will forgive us when we ask so why do we tend to think he won't. God loves every single one of us and knows us each by name because we are his children. If you've left the faith for a while, please don't hesitate to come back. God will leave the 99 just for you to come back to him because you are his child and he loves you. Yes you may have sinned but everyone makes mistakes. It's all about taking accountability for them, asking for forgiveness, and striving to do better in your walk with Christ. You are so loved and I hope you realize that!
