Wait a minute, why am I the one going away from this?
I didn't do anything wrong did I? I didn't even kiss him back. My mind wanders off to the kiss, wait I didn't right?
Whatever, I changed my dress to something comfortable. I wear a beige top and blue jeans, I slip into my nude heels and walk out of the room.

I try to tame my hair into a pony tail when Emily asks, "Where are you headed to Emma?" As she cranes her neck from the endless wires and ring light that we set up to make the makeshift alter.
I know we are rich, but we both thought this was no big event to spend more than we have already done.
I feel suddenly guilty to leave Emily to do all the work, but then to my line of vision I see James sitting with all his man spears glory typing furiously onto his phone.
"I am going to the hospital, I will be back only after 2 days, I have a 48 hour shift plus a seminar on Monday so see you guys later." I nod my head towards Emily and Sam who just look at me as if I grew another head.
Before they both could sober up, "Darling if you wanted to have some alone time with me, all you would have needed to do was to just ask me, your handsome husband. Why are you spawning out lies out of your pretty arse?" James says smirking and to be honest very genuinely.
His sudden shift in mood as well as the kiss we shared just few minutes ago replays back and I just open my mouth to retort back, when he casually walked up to me and put his arm around my shoulder and gave a forehead kiss in lightening speed.
As I was about to push him away he whispers into my ears, "The camera is still on, smarty pants. Just suck it up for a while."
I immediately look into the frame and see all our family looking down at us without confused looks. I nod my head and smile brightly as I scoot closer to him and say, "Oh my god, guys I didn't see you there. Actually we had a plan to have a staycation kind of a thing to celebrate as our wedding night, I wanted to keep it as a surprise to James. But I think I got caught in the lie."
I smile nervously and as my mind gives slow clap to my over imaginative brain. That's when Sam and Emily get up abruptly and Emily says, "Yeah on that note I actually have a client meeting scheduled in a hour I got to go as well, Sam you are giving me lift right. My car is at the repair shop, so yea!"
She tells this in a hurry and turns to the camera gives a salute and scurries away grabbing a very confused Sam along with her.
"Wow, yeah she was talking about this very important meeting all morning, makes sense why she is in such a hurry. Ok then see you guys later, we gotta go the hotel, we even have a reservation for dinner at 7pm."
I am about to continue when James squeezes my hips and as I look at him, he continues, "I am very sorry people, but my bride is clearly being the opposite of the blushing silent bride but hey I am not complaining, we gotta respect a woman who has her needs in check right! What say dad?" He says in a funny tone, I just look at him in full shock.
I mean he sure as hell made my very open minded parents and grandma flustered as they tell their quick byes and cut the call. Mr. Carter gives his son a straight look and congratulates us once again and goes offline.
The moment we both were the only ones in the screen, I took a moment to appreciate how good we look together even though I couldn't exactly wrap my mind why am I thinking so.
As I look into James through the reflection of us in screen he seemed to be in lost in thoughts as well. So I simply clear my throat when he says, "Take a picture it will last forever." He says as he was about to take his hands off my waist that's when I pulled his hand back onto my waist and say, "I think you are right James we do owe a picture to get after all we did get married today."
He smiles confusedly but then just nods his head and says, "Cannot deny if you put it that way, but Mrs. Carter as eager as you are we don't have anyone to click us a picture." He says as he looks around my silent apartment.
"Look up straight idiot!" I say without giving him a second to think I clicked a photo of us in the monitor and as his amused chuckles resonates though his body onto mine. I couldn't help but join with him as we click our wedding day photos in the most non conventional but sentimental way.
*** After clicking dozens of photos that comprised of a lot of selfies, mirror ones and then timed ones we were so tired as we slumped back onto the couch with our hands still in embrace, I place my head onto his chest as it was the most normal thing to do.
I am sure if anyone sees us would say, 'Wow what a young love couple who are in their honeymoon phase of their relationship." With our cheeks flushed in pink and our facial muscles in pain due to continuous smiling.
I couldn't help but hear to his steady heart beat and close my eyes.
But sure as hell our little bubble moment had to come to scorching halt as he holds his chest in pain with a groan.
"Can you please take your heavy head off my chest, I might as well get crushed under its weight." He says in strained voice.
A scowl comes into my face in instant and I roll my eyes as I get off the couch and say, "I wish I could give you tension pneumothorax, Mr. Delicate darling."
He controls to hold in his laugh, he looked adorable with his tongue poking through his cheek. But I controlled myself to not to get swayed by his boyish charm and walk away despite his calls of my name.
What I didn't lie unlike someone, I do have a duty and a seminar to prepare! Cut off some slack for me will ya?

I know, I know it seemed like I vanished of this earth for few days. I am very sorry my dear readers, I have no idea why I am able to update only 2 times in a year. Who am I kidding I clearly know the reason?
But all I could say is I am very sorry, I do try my very best to try to update regularly but sadly it's like this.
This might seem like a filler chapter but I just wanted to show some character development and change in dynamics. Hope you guys liked this chapter.
