"Hello miss, I thought of stopping by because of the rai-"

Dylan looked at the face of the maiden who opened the door and said,

"Anna? Hello!"

"Come in, Dylan"

Dylan entered the house and Anna closed the door. Dylan removed his drenched coat and looked for a coat hook to put it on when Anna said,

"Give it."

She took Dylan's coat and hung it on the coat hook attached to the door. Both of them headed into the living area. Anna looked at Dylan who had water dripping off his hair and said,

"You look drenched! Let me get you a towel."

Anna ran up the stairs to the cupboard pulled out a towel and a blanket and got it down. She gave it to Dylan and he started wiping off the water in his head. She observed that his clothes hadn't gotten that wet as he was wearing a coat.

She went to the fireplace and lit the wood. She called Dylan and patted on the wooden floor, asking him to sit down in front of the fire. He sat down in front of her and she gave him the blanket and he hesitated to take it. She went to him and wrapped the blanket cosily around him. He smiled at her in a grateful manner and she asked him,

"Would you like me to make you something to eat?"

"I am not yet hungry"

"Let me get you a cup of tea"

Anna headed to the kitchen while Dylan sat in front of the fireplace.

Anna's hands were trembling as though she had never made tea before. Seeing the future king himself or rather, the person she loved, knocking on her door and spending a while at her house, filled her stomach with agitation and a sense of happiness blooming in her heart.

She somehow poured the tea into two cups, placed them in a wooden tray and took it to the fireplace. Dylan took a sip of tea delightfully and smiled at Anna as she also drank her tea sitting opposite to him, while the fire was burning next to them. Anna curiously asked,

"Where had you been?"

"My mother forced me to go for lunch at Eleanor's palace."

Anna giggled remembering the satirical manner in which she teased Dylan, pitying Eleanor for having to meet Dylan in terms of marriage.

"You are thinking about what you told me the other day, aren't you?"

Although she giggled, somewhere deep in her heart, she felt a bit sad thinking if both of them would really get married, which she desperately didn't want to happen.

Dylan then rolled his eyes and finished the last sip of his tea. Anna looked at the pendulum clock striking 7 when she said to herself,

"I forgot about dinner"

She took the teacups and headed straight to the kitchen. She quickly washed the remaining dishes and started to cook the soup. Dylan went along with her.

He stood there and watched her prepare for dinner. He asked,

"What are you making?"

"There's this turnip and carrot soup that I am going to make. Is it fine as I think it's going to take a while?"

"Take your time and also, I don't think the rain is going to stop soon"

Dylan was actually happy that it was still raining very heavily as he could spend more time with Anna.

She started cutting the carrots when Dylan interrupted. He said,

"Let me do it"

"Cutting vegetables is not for a royal"
