Chapter 18 - On the Road Again

Isabella's P.O.V

*One day after they left, same moment as Third person P.O.V*

I felt a severe pain in my chest and I collapsed unto the ground. My pack did likewise around me. Shit, shit, fuck, shit! I had completely forgot that our mate bond would grow stronger the more time we spent around them. This means that separation would cause intense pain. I slowly control my pain, pushing it down. I get up and see my pack still shaking in pain around me. I knew what I had to do. Through our pack bonds, I drew their pain into me. This causes me to fall back down as the others get up. I am dimly aware of the others surrounding me and lifting me up. I pass  out unconscious from the pain.

I open my eyes and see my pack looking worriedly at me. I get up and Elina exclaims,

"You're not dead!" I roll my eyes and responded,

"Well, no shit sherlock! I am alive and talking."

"What happened?"

"We all suffered pain from our separation from our mates."

"I don't fell anything." Everyone else agreed with Elina.

"That's because I took all your pain into me."

"Shit!" Sam demanded,

"Give it back!" I shake my head,

"I have it under control now. I am more powerful than you because of the Alpha status. I will be fine." They do not look convinced. Either way, Miya interrupts,

"We cannot leave the country!" I frown at her,

"Why?"

"It would kill you." I think it through before nodding,

"So you guys have to go without me." This time it is Emma who spoke up,

"I am not leaving you. You saved me, you saved us all. You are our Alpha. We can't leave you." We are all shocked that she talked. Emma usually keeps to herself out of habit. Elina says,

"I agree with Emma. There is no way in hell that we are leaving you." Everyone nods and agrees. I frown again,

"Fine. But this means that our mates will eventually catch up to us."

"I know."

"I have to stop that. Any ideas?" One by one they shake their head. I lie back down and think. Suddenly, I smile. This is a perfect idea. I announce to the pack,

"I have several solutions to our problem, but you might not like them. First, you could leave me behind and go to Europe." Emma growls loudly at this, shocking us once again. "I though not. I have a second solution but for it to work you have to trust me with your life." Emilia answered,

"I do. Hell, if you said the only solution was to kill ourselves, I would do it." Elina adds,

"I will follow you to the end of the Earth." Miya agrees,

"The day I abandon you is the day Hell freezes over." Sam comments,

"Of course I trust you. You are the reason we are alive and happy at all." Emma timidly says,

"I will do anything for you guys. You are my family." With those answers, I tell them my plan,

"I have a cousin-" Emilia interrupts with a chuckle,

"Seems like you have a cousin for everything." I continue,

"I do in fact. He's a warlock and he can give my the power of life-or-death for you guys. That means when we get caught again. I could make our mates back off." I look around at my pack for approval. They look apprehensive but all nod. I say,

"We will have to go to the edge of my father's territory. That is where my cousin lives. I know he will help us because he owes me a favor." We continue to discuss the technicalities and decide to rest up before heading out. I lie back down because I still have to contain the pain from the separation. My wolf, Belle, contacts me. I am glad because I thought she was mad at me for leaving our mate. She says,

"I can't believe we are back on the road again." I agree and we talk a little. It was good to have her back. Eventually though, I fell asleep. The one though on my mind was,

We're on the road again.
