Isabella's P.O.V.

*One Week Later*

Everyone had returned back to their respective territories after the last meeting. The Blood Moon territory was just next door and was easily accessible for us. The Alphas all had to prepare their packs for the oncoming war. It was now just a waiting game. We had to wait until Arthur's next move. I hated it! Carson did too! I wanted to go out there and kill everyone, not let them come to my very home! It made me more grumpy and difficult to deal with. The pack already loved me and my nature, at least most of them do. I had to prove my worth to the males first.

*Flashback*

It was after the first rogue attack on the castle where I went crazy. The pack already had been introduced to me, but I hadn't been able to spend much time there. I have had to deal with jeoulous females all morning. So, I am not in a good mood when I passed the training fields. From there, I could hear the whispers from these grown ass men,

"What is she doing here? Women belong in a kitchen. ... She should be with the kids. ... Why is a woman at the training fields?" It went on and on and on. In the end, I snapped. I turned to face these egotistical men and told them,

"I have every right to be here! Same as any man or any of you!" One of the watching warriors scoffed,

"Yeah right! Women belong in the kitchen, not out here." I could only see red as I answered,

"Fine! If you truly believe that, fight me!" He backs away,

"No way! I could never hit a girl!"

"Really? Are you sure that the reason you are not fighting is that you are scared you will lose to a girl!" I taunted. His peers laughed at him and that was enough for him.

"I will fight you, but don't come crying to me when I beat you." I feel my smirk grow wider,

"Sure." He walks out to me and we circle each other in fight position. I know never to throw the first blow, but apparently he didn't. The idiot still believed I was a helpless female who didn't know how to fight. What was even more offending is that they didn't recognize me as the luna! I mean I did cover my scent, but I do that a lot because of the rogues. He tried to do a quick jab to my stomach which I easily dodged. In return, I landed one hit on his stomach and another on his kneecap, effectively shattering it. Still, the guy tried one last punch, but failed miserably. I then easily pinned him down. The warriors which are in a circle around me were shocked. I heard them mutter,

"He was the best warrior in the pack besides the chain of command (third in command, beta, alpha) ... How did she beat him? ... I am not fighting that girl. She's scary as shit." At that statement, I realize my eyes probably showed my anger at being disrespected. My wolf was shouting at me,

"Show them who's in charge!" I get up and take a step forward. Instinctively, they all took a step back. I say,

"Anyone else wants to fight me? I can take any of you any day, so get rid of your misogynistic way of thinking. Women can just as easily beat you up." I look over at the jealous girls who had been watching the men train. "And girls the Alpha is mine, so don't touch." With that, the warriors realized I was their Luna. I was actually funny to see their faces. Some of them even fell to their knees. One begged,

"Please forgive our disrespect, Luna, we were not thinking." I nod my head in his direction,

"All is forgiven, but some of you need to be trained more." I was walking out of there to see my mate. But as an afterthought, I added,

"The Alpha doesn't need to know. I won't be telling him either." They all breathed in a sigh of relief. I would too in their position. Carson mad is not something I want to see.

*Flashback over*

After that, I had earned all of their respect.

All the Alphas have reconvened at the castle with their respective armies. Arthur and his rogues had been spotted. Apparently, there were several thousands. A pretty good number given the recent attacks. I was surprised Arthur got that many. That was where we were now, in front of the castle. Carson and I are in charge of everything. No one even questioned that. Arthur had chosen a clearing for the location for the final battle. I was not pleased that he was the one who chose said location, but there was no choice in the matter. Carson strides to my side and asks me,

"Have you reconsidered staying in the castle for the fight?" I smile at him. Carson wants me to stay in the castle, away from the fight. Like that would happen.

"Nope," I said, popping the 'p'. Carson sighs like he already knew that was what I was going to say.

"Fine. In that case, we are moving out." I walk with him to the front with all the other Alphas. The only Lunas present were my friends because the day you kept us from a fight would when hell freezes over. I smile at them all. Carson makes a huge speech that I ignore until the end when he declares

"To the last battle!" It was time to fight again with my friends all around me.

One last time.
